"get ready for a Classic Summer!"

Earliest possible summer date is 3.5 months away.

Soon needs to come with a lot more details for me to believe that.

That’s what I took from it to. I expect it in no more then 4-5 months from now.

Catered to? It is no different from any other game out there in that it’s available to be played. When classic drops there will be nothing that sets it apart in that regard, so???

I think people are having a hard time coming to terms that you are not a World of Warcraft only player and have other games.

Possibly. I liked WoW a lot when I started but now it’s such a frustrating unfun mess and that makes me angry, that the game I loved was ruined. I’m still curious about classic but so much about retail WoW and the way the company has been going as well as the devs condescending and insulting attitudes, well I don’t know if I’m even going to give it a chance.

My main game right now is ESO and OMG is it fun! It is everything WoW could, and should, be. All I see anymore when I look at WoW is missed opportunity after missed opportunity to make the game more fun.

That is YOUR opinion. I feel that its better than every game out there. It is made for those of us who love classic and have kept playing it over the years. I am not sure if you are trolling or even if you aren’t… if you don’t care about the game then why are you here? Just don’t play it and leave us in peace. We don’t need that kind of negativity. There is enough of it as it is.

I play a ton of other games. When Classic drops I won’t play those other games anymore.

I think that blizzard would want to either come out way ahead of FFXIV or after it in order to pull people away. MMO players overall are not as big a group as they used to be. It would be better to give them the 2-3 weeks to clear that content then come and play classic after they complete the story.

That’s fine if you feel that way…no need to troll the classic forums though. Feel free to go play those better games and let us classic enthusiasts be.

Nothing you said is objectively true lol…

It may be how you feel… and if that is the case, like others have said, why are you even here? No one wants to hear about you being butt hurt.

Is anything else releasing or updating of note this summer that they might want to create competition for, or increase interest in Wow to balance?

One thing that springs to mind is that ESO is releasing its much-anticipated Elsweyr expansion in early June. ESO players and those who enjoyed Skyrim have been asking for dragons in the game for years, and Elsweyr brings that into the game. It could very well drag a lot of people away from WoW over the summer.

Not sure if there are other competitive reasons for an immediate summer timing.

ESO is absolute trash. That game feels more like a single player game than anything else.

You all should be happy that Games Workshop isn’t in charge; classic summer for them would mean a release date was announced on the last day of summer… releasing in winter. (See ‘orktober’)

I just want to apologize to everyone in the Southern Hemisphere. My own words are really sticking in my craw there.

I’m sorry.

Happy winter WoW, Australians.

People in the Southern Hemisphere are still on the Wrath expansion.

If you sincerely feel that way, then get out of this forum and go play those other games. Leave those of us who will enjoy WoW: Classic to enjoy our game.

This one is my favorite.

You don’t have to apologize to the less important people at the bottom of the map.

The stars will align. High Noon during High Summer. Heat Wave. Breaker box about to fry from the combination A/C and computer load. Shades all closed against the harsh sun. The room glowing eerily from three monitors.

And then the server will go down for an hour right out of the gate and Blizzard will post “GOTCHA!” when it comes back up. It will just be like old times.

Everything is arranged, including negotiations with wife & family, summer camp, and the take-out meal plan (so I don’t have to cook for a few weeks). <— ok, maybe I’m exaggerating! Just a little.
