Get Into the Grid of Things with the Updated UI and HUD

if Blizz got rid of us old half-blind players Who would pay their paycheck

I’m neither old nor blind, but I still want the mini menu buttons to be bigger or more colorful (or both). Who thought everyone would be happy with tiny grey buttons?

For those of us that have bad eyesight this area is not going to work for me.

Ugh. I hate it for the same reasons I’ve never been able to acclimate to any of the UI mod packages.

Got my toons all ready after not playing SL and not sure I’ll stick with this. Weird having a giant ultrawide monitor with all these tiny elements and a lot of wasted space.

Honestly, if you like it then cool, but personally for someone who has been playing the game for 10+ years, this is no good. I know people who have downloaded adons in the past to change the UI, but I never really got it. If its not the original its hard to understand and I shouldnt have to relearn the UI to play the game. I understand it probably wont change back to the original but at least make an option to where we can use the ORIGINAL if we want.

Need a button to change to the old UI, please.

Not everyone used an addon for the GUI.

Please atleast add the option to use either the modern or the original UI. The modern one does not have the same appeal to me and many others as the original did. This new UI isn’t for me.

Honestly this was the only thing missing from this patch

The new talents/talent trees? I can adjust, I’ll live. But this messy/complicated UI? I just can’t :man_facepalming:

I don’t care if they call it something corny like “Timewalking UI - take me back to how it was”, the point is we need the option to choose between this new UI and the old “original”/default UI

Because the original/stock UI has already existed for 15+ years, I imagine the devs could simply copy-paste it back in and then the only “work” would be hotfixing in a “Classic UI” checkbox that simply activates the previous Shadowlands UI/layout just like flipping a light-switch

Your UI is not ideal. At least give the option for the old one back

This is both funny and sad at same time because now the side that used add ons to change the UI are happy and yet the side that didn’t need add ons to change it are not happy. Where is the middle ground here, I thought this UI was going to be for both sides, yet it isn’t.

I never needed to use add ons for my UI now just like many others I am going to be getting some when this could all be fixed with a toggle/option to switch. If you like the new UI great keep it but if the old is for you then flip a toggle and back to normal.

As so many are saying Blizzard is so out of touch with the players instead, they only think of themselves.

Yup, I can totally see this angle too

I’m a healthy young man myself with good eyesight/vision, but I can totally see older folks, people with bad vision, and people with a disability/accessibility issue struggling with this complicated/messy “new” UI design

The fonts are all over the place, seems to go from huge text —> teeny tiny text —> huge text —> teeny tiny text, and then there’s the issue of random bars or boxes ending up “off the screen” - and again, all these things are more difficult for the disability-challenged and accessibility-challenged to figure out

A simple “Classic UI” toggle that changes everything back to the stock Shadowlands UI would be the most simple fix, ideally they would have something out/some sort of hotfixed-in “checkbox” before the launch

It stinks…I want my old UI back…we should of been able to either opt into new UI or keep the old UI…what’s not broke doesn’t need fixed. Just knew I might regret after 14 yrs with WoW I maybe be might quit.

I used the Dominos addon, which has now been discontinued because the new Dragonflight UI breaks a lot of its functionality. The author of that addon suggested Bartender4 as an option, but the flyout bars are busted and I need them to work for several of my characters (Mage, Hunter, Warlock). Not a very happy camper at the moment. :frowning:

I fourth this. I have a hard time visually with the new UI! Would love a mod that returned it to its previous form!

None of my profiles will save on the new UI. After I spend my time arranging things, & hit save, it all goes away when I log back in. So I tried character specific after another arrangement, same thing. I tried importing, but my profiles still won’t save. Finally went back to old school Bartender4, that works so I have usable action bars, but the rest of the blizzard UI that I keep fixing over again, just won’t stay put. Anyone have any ideas?

Needs to provide the function to move the achievements pop up. Atm its popping up down the bottom over the top of my action bars and is extremely easily missed
