I kinda wish they focused on refining and adding to the Talent Trees they JUST revamped before piling more stuff on top.
Why would you think this has anything to do with classic?
I feel like it makes much more sense to have a support healer than a support dps.
Besides, there is going to be a shadow/disc tree and shadow/holy tree so no need to make a big deal out of it either way yet.
Can I make a few suggestionsā¦
-Make up your mind to not add a single new button to any hero talent tree, just cook the benefits into something that already exists, giving particular thought to whether something is rotational or decision based.
-Donāt arbitrarily add pvp or pve benefits to these abilities, since weāre getting all of them. Make the pvp and pve (throughput) benefits a choice node, or discard pvp benefits entirely and add them to the pvp talent system.
-Make sure every hero talent tree gives a new option of some kind, not simply a potential increase in damage or burst. Think of each tree as being an option that is available to that spec, with the followup 9 talents simply being continuations on that one new option, and thus not connected to the main talent trees numerically or otherwise.
-Drop the silly hero title nonsense, as you can see, most people donāt like things like Oracle, Frostfire mage, Dark Ranger, mainly because it contradicts what they already think of their character.
-Consider allowing any spec to choose any hero talent tree, which will pacify a bit of the complaining and let you make the hero option more general in nature. Yes this will require starting over.
How would that make sense? I donāt think Arcane would get anything out of the Frostfire tree and the same goes for the other trees too. They are designed around the two combined specs capabilities.
I second this. The silence needs to work in PvP, and the cast time shorter or an AoE silence.
I think this would be an absolutely terrible idea in practice. They would have to make everything too general, at which point theyād be better off just being extensions of the classes base trees. Which would then defeat the point of trying to get them to change how the classes work for more customization.
Given the track record of how things have gone the past few xpacs I think itās pretty justified for most people to be cautiously optimistic at best about these vaguely explained new things coming in TWW. I certainly canāt blame people for being cynical.
Not really sure why Dark Rangers are getting a Jailer Chains ability. Like, yeah, Sylvanas used chains in a fight (once), but that very much was not Dark Ranger stuff. Are we in character supposed to beā¦ drawing on the power of the jailer? Itās an extremely bizarre fantasy.
doenst sound fun for me sadly 0 hype for thisā¦
It makes sense when you throw āfrostfireā into the trash and start over by making something that is actually good. Frostfire only exists because of long, ago, blizzard was toying around with the idea of making spells alter each other (at my suggestion, sadly) which eventually led to the current design of balance druid.
Yeah, Iām sure they are just going to throw all their designs in the trash because people are whining about āmuh fantasyā
Iām just gonna wait for Packleader and Sentinel to be revealed before really providing any kind of feedback about what should go to each spec. Right now mostly we have speculation with not a lot of empirical data to back up any conclusions.
Soā¦
Can us R Druids have a legit raid CD again instead of a bunch of tree shaped totems trickle healing?
Tranq sucks and is only used to reduce the CD on ToL.
If Premonition really works in the rotating method that Jak shows in his video, whoever designed that should not be allowed to work on video games. Clicking a spell and waiting for the right buff to come up so you can click it again like a slot machine is ridiculous. Seriously, anyone that thinks thatās a good mechanic has no business designing WoW classes. As an early look, the priest hero talents are bad. Scrap those trees and try again.
Your worried about classic and cata on your monk?
(fire mage pov) Pretty happy with frostfire. The impact on rotation and damage profile seems low, but the impact on visuals and vibe is high. This may flatten the profiles a touch, but I dont think its going to move the needle majorly. I really want to see the HD frostfire bolt as this will make or break the vibe for me i think. going big here is necessary visually.
I hope the sunfury tree is focused on a vibe of violence burst and big booms/phoenix summons. Having this frostfire + a solid heavy hard hitting sunfury tree would be a really big win for fire. I kind of imagine frostfire pairing well with skb, and Iād like if sunfury paired more with unleashed inferno. Iād like both playable on any version of fire, but having something pair with UI would be cool.
Make black arrow trigger lock n load/a shadowy aimed shot/perhaps an exploding aimed shot to harken back to the days of old explosive shot. No one wants ANOTHER aimed shot to spam cast; make it instant and do something cool.
Black arrow should by default proc kill command resets for BM (the equivalent of aimed shot) and/or do something more significant than just another random barbed shot that we already have an infinite supply of.
Change the chains talent to make binding shot a ground target deathgrip.
this is the wrost idea they coud have had ā¦ nope nope nopre I will now pass on the tww not buying the expansion forget this !!!
Iām admittedly still super salty about an iconic Forsaken class just being handed out like chicken samples to anybody that walks by.
Take our Queen from us
Dilute our identity
Foist an Alliance nanny on us
Make us help those scumbag Gilneans
Bad times for the Forsaken.
