They are a company. A business. Their sole purpose is to make money. Some people seem to forget that.

They always bring this crap up like it means anything.

That’s not the point, it’s the same crap with Diablo immortal. It’s predatory crap and people like you fall for it, that’s why they get away with so much wack stuff now.

Eat that greedy crap Blizzard and feast on it good.

And I guarantee you they’d make a crap load more money with realistically priced deluxe editions.

What gives them more money, 10 people paying 80 or 100 people paying 30? (Just example numbers, obviously more than 10/100 will buy it)

I don’t even play classic so this doesn’t affect me in the least. But this is one of the worst predatory pricing of any video game company I’ve seen that isn’t owned by EA.

There’s a lot about this I don’t like, but it feels like screaming into a void, so I’m not going to go into most of that. Ultimately I have zero interest in classic at all, and don’t usually buy store mounts anyway, but having a thing that goes into retail, without a way for a retail-only player to just get that thing without the other “useless” things, is a real good way to get animosity. I imagine the mount by itself will end up on the store for the usual price eventually, but this entire “release” feels so much scummier than even the usual stuff.

I mean, it would take like 4 days/played for the average player to get to 70. That’s a lot of time to invest just to be able to play wrath, and then do even more boring leveling to get to endgame lol.

80 bucks isnt that much money when you consider the alternative

What if I buy it when it goes on sale however long from now? Will you have any respect for me then?

Wait you can do this but u can’t make a gray oce server???

Price is fair.

2 mounts would normally set you back $50, but lets say for the sake of argument that buying one mount gets you the other one as well, so we can take that down to $25. You also get a pet and a toy. Both cost $10, so that’s $45.

Then there’s the boost, which isn’t available as a separate purchase yet, but the Dark Portal Pass cost around $40.

So all up, boost + mount + pet and toy, if you were to buy them seperately, would cost you $85, assuming both mounts are a single purchase of course, otherwise the price jumps up to $135.

So yeah, $80? That’s fine for what you get.

You know what the great thing is though? It’s 100% optional, so you don’t have to buy it if you don’t want to.

Not to mention I get all that content anyway with a sub so it wont be affecting the death knight I just created. This isnt like DF where I have to pay box price for the expansion or else I wont be able to play in the new zones. The only reason to buy those packages is for the extra goodies, which IMO is worth $30 at best. More power to those who do pay for it, but no set of digital items is worth more than that to me. I dont care what they normally go for in the shop.

This company is high on crack to think that most of us are gonna get this for $80, honestly not even close to worth it. You got better stuff from The Dark Portal Pass AND it was cheaper. Imagine asking $80 for this when you won’t even add RDF/LFD lmao.

Thanks Holly! :+1:

Such a great idea to generate enthusiasm for this exciting new chapter in the World of Warcraft™!

Awesome!

Debatable, I’m sure a lot of people will buy it actually.

Debatable on the ‘better’ stuff, and the price was (since you can’t buy the Dark Portal Pass anymore) only $10 less. Hardly breaking the bank there.
