Geomancer class

This would be a nice cladd to bring on board. Google it - learn about it. Rock and stone magic.

The Grim Totem had geomancers but they were basically just Tauren Mages.

Isn’t this essentially what a shaman is? And how would they add in a geomancer class without stealing many abilities from shaman?

so we need them to work on it and make it a thing

I’m all for a new class. I’m betting someone will come in here and say this is too much like shaman though.

I did. Yes. It was me!

Dont get me wrong, I’m all for new classes but they can’t cannibalize other classes for it.

I dunno why people would ever say such a thing.

Don’t we already have three kinds of mages?

Oh, and kinds of shamans?

Not sure where those’d fit into the Wow universe, but i guess Raid Shadow Legends is cool.

Honestly geomancer was one of my favorite classes in Final Fantasy Tactics. If they could perform a different kind of aspect of nature magic i’m all for it.

I kind of implied I disagree with shamans being too similar to geomancer. I think if they were creative they could pull it off, but I don’t know which three specs they could use without it being redundant either. Maybe geomancer could just be the 4th shaman spec if they wanted to do something similar.

Geomancer is basically just Elemental with slightly more rocks.

I agree, give shaman their 4th spec: earthwarden.

I could see them doing it if they really specialized into the type(s) of element(s) the geomancer would use… Like say Rock/Stone, Lava/Magma, and Wood/Plants?

I agree, but then it also kind of begs the question why not just break down elemental into lava / earth etc. I think all classes in general are stale right now, so any kind of mass rework is welcome imo.

I guess that’s true but we’d also be at the question of what do we want the geomancer to be able to do.

If it’s just tank and dps then that will open up certain avenues that maybe Shaman don’t have. Like say where a Shaman is a lot more offensive the Geomancer would be built to be a lot more defensive.

Personally I think doing something like an Animist would be a lot cooler. Think shaman elementals and druid treents but developed a lot more into a geomancy pet class.

Not every class needs to be a tank else you’ll have opened a can of worms and the hunters and warlocks’ll cry foul as to why they can’t be tank classes?

Frost mages have an elemental too, so is that a tank spec? -heh-

I think we need a new pet class.

Tinker could be the next pet class, if they add it.

Tinker, like the Necromancer and Bard, are player dream classes that’re always discussed.

But we’re getting OT.

Geomancer could be a fun class with the right work. Or at the very least, a tank spec for Shaman.

But as a class i could totally see a tank spec, a ranged spec, and a melee spec.
