Genn just hands away the kingdom?

I heard that the keys to the kingdom were buried like 8 inches under ground next to a tree. They also found a large stick, a ball that squeaks when squeezed and a dead rabbit.

As noted before.

The leader of the Dark Iron Dwarves is a Ironforge Dwarf.

The leader of the Forsaken undead was a very hot undead elf.

The leader of the Lightforged Draenei is either a regular Draenei or a Human.

The leader of the mechagnomes is a regular gnome.

For a good while, the racial leader of the orcs was a Mag’har orc.

WoW does have a history of player races having leaders who was not their race, but still affiliated with that race.

Not explicitly, but the culture war you’ve bought into that claims anything empowering women is a liberal agenda is very obviously sexist, yeah. The post you replied to wasn’t even talking to you lol

You try so hard to hurt my feelings but that doesn’t mean anything coming from a person of zero value lol

I think he wants to sit in an RP coronation ceremony for 5 hours or have it covered on 324 networks in 150 counties.

Should I have pointed out that expecting a thorough explanation of the functionality of a political system in the game should be laid out in quest text before something related to it occurs seems absurd is a more polite way? I suppose so.

I am both “condescending and snide” too often for my own good, and have received forum vacations for it. I’m a bad pupper that way…but I am usually helpful with those that honestly need it, and enjoy debating those that are honest about their stance.

YOU again?

Hold veeeerrry still…

No, but pointing out that succession to a female heir is implicitly permissible in the monarchical structures of the Warcraft universe wherein it occurs, especially when supported by kingly declaration, would more than suffice. As obvious as that may seem to you or I, I don’t think it brooks such negative insinuations as I’ve from others seen.

Hence the exclusion.

genn: here u go daughter of mine whos done more than me in the last decade. for gilneas!

op: the beginnin body topic

lol i mean who did u want him to give it to?

Yeah I do agree the whole Gilneas reclamation is very anti-climatic. It’s something they should have done in BfA so that way the Worgen could have gotten a real win on the Forsaken instead of fighting random scarlet crusade forces

This is all an assumption on your part, and doesn’t make sense when you take into account my post history… you’re seeing what you want to see.

What does this even mean? You dragged me into an idiotic conversation about your politics, which are so incredibly inconsequential that it boggles the mind why you’re so wrapped up in this garbage. Me then continuing to respond to you, even though you shifted your focus onto someone else to badger doesn’t mean I don’t have every right to respond to you… because I do.

I’m not trying to hurt your feelings, I don’t care about your feelings. You responded to me, and I just don’t care. You do this crap all the time. You try to drag and attack people and you make the claim that they’re a bigot or a racist or sexist or what ever and it’s so tired, Brise. Just stop.

Yeah, I agree with this. I can’t imagine this feels super great for Worgen players besides getting their home back, which is probably kinda nice… even though they’ll probably never really go there.

Also, I’m not sure where the post is, but someone mentioned that there should be some sort of ceremony and I think there should be. The ending scene was kind of confused and the language could have been much clearer, and having an actual ceremony would have been nice. I did this Horde side, so maybe there was a post battle event where she’s introduced as the new leader?

Also, this is probably a prime example of where spreading quests out over days or weeks would have helped Blizzard with substantial pacing issues. Instead of just giving us basically 4 kill quests, they could have expanded on the characters and told us why Genn needs to be stepping down and why Tess is a better leader. They did do these things, but it felt rushed in my opinion.

If Genn needs to step down, then we need to see why he needs to step down. We should be seeing an instance of Genn being overly emotional or brash and it costing people their lives… Genn has a moment of doubt and Tess steps up, takes the lead and saves a battle that might have been lost. This is how we see the decline of one character and the build up of another.

What we got in the game was Genn saying “what are your orders” to Tess, and Tess saying “Well’p I guess I’m in charge now, I didn’t expect that.” … this is so incredibly lazy and doesn’t do either character justice and it isn’t good for the player either.

Sorry, this rant post is a mile long.

I would say there certainly is an element of truth behind it. There is undeniably a trend in media to put female characters in certain positions just because of their gender.

But it is also important to be able to determine when it is happening and when it is not.

Not every time a women in media gets put in to an important or leading position its because of some agenda.

This is a great example of that.
Genn does not fit in to wow during a time of peace. His character is angry and hatefilled towards the horde.

Blizzard could either betray his character and make him forgive and forget.
Or, they could pass the torch to his capable heir who has proven they are more than able to work for a wow without faction conflict.

Genns heir not being male, does not mean there is an agenda. Its just natural story telling.

The heir thing is a retcon I think.

But it is kind of interesting that this also changes things for Calia somewhat.

A big part of her story was that she couldn’t be heir because she’s a woman, but if Blizzard are going to change this then I think people could make the case that she’s the Queen of Lordaeron… or not, I don’t know. I hate her character either way, she needs to be made more interesting.

You started that conversation with your “hOLlYwoOd” dog whistle. I just called it out :dracthyr_shrug:

Lol alright champ

At least they didn’t kill them off in a book like they did baine. Just went from wotlk to Cata finding it out from a random tauren quest.

No one ever questions it when it’s a male huh.

This is further evidence that most have a romanticized notion of how most monarchies work.

They do, just a different group of people to those that question when its a woman.

Our culture is dumb.
You have people trying to replace men with women. People trying to replace women with men. And then you have those which want both groups to go away and just be normal.
