Genn Graymane

Genn got neutered in BFA.

His entire character trait beforehand was pretty much “and then he made things worse”.

This has nothing to do with Sylvanas.

Genn is a bad leader from the time he took the throne to his eventual death. Before WoW begins he’s a bad leader.

I really love the logic of the Sylvanas fans…

“Genn should forgive her! She wasn’t trying to kill his son! Just him!”

Okay.

Sylvanas should forgive Arthas. He wasn’t trying to kill her specifically, he just wanted the Sunwell!

Light man bad. Religion bad. Order bad.

Light bad!

This only happened in MoP at the end when he was already going crazy.

And he kind of started infusing the orcs with the sha energy too…

Hes pretty good. He leads his people but follows the king, careful to not overstep.

The only issue for me is the lack of consistency in his cutscenes.

In Leigon when he attack Sylvanis, heʻs spider-man crawling on the ceiling.
But when we discover Nazjatar he cant even hold on to a ships deck?
Also in that cutscene of the Sylvanis fight he leaps high into the air and is accurate enough to snatch the lantern off of her belt.
But when Anduin get taken he just stands there howling.

Overall i like him. He seems controlled and might be a good leader for the Alliance should Anduin fall.

There is a good reason why I have dubbed him…

BAEmane!

Literally the Sean Connery of WoW.

Althooooough… he kind of sucks as a king. I highly recommend checking out part 1 and 2. It’s quite humorous!

Damn Sean Connery would make a great Genn.
RIP.

He was great until they snipped him. Now he’s a docile labrador.

Yeah, which is understandable if you don’t know – I was mostly talking about those who ran through the whole story later, and still had the same mind set. lol

However each faction having its unique story is cool. Personally, I liked a lot of BFA’s open-world, hidden spots and the visuals throughout the area – there were some cool plot & story elements, however there were a lot of faults within them too (not as much as Shadowlands, but I digress).

BFA:

  • To my surprise I actually really liked the underwater quests. Thought I wouldn’t cause I wasn’t a fan of Vash’jr but BFA made them quite fun.
  • For the Horde, I really enjoyed the Loa related quests - However would’ve loved if we got more Loa & made them more powerful + a tad more mysterious.
  • The ‘created old god G’huun’ was silly. They should’ve had it as a newly-crashed-from-space old god that was quickly contained.
  • Would’ve liked some wild god quests in Drustvar for the Alliance, perhaps discover some ‘good witches’ and have the two work together.
  • Perhaps interweave the end of the main-stories of each-zone together for the factions, so they’re not so out of place when visiting the other continent.

Shadowlands:

  • Butchered a lot of faction pride with its various storylines and devalued previously exalted WoW history but retconning it & fist-jamming it into the Jailor or simply changing the origins & its destination. It was ultimately very disappointing. :face_exhaling:

Anyway, for Dragonflight the factions are ‘united’ however having some faction-specific quests for both would still be nice. Like some little lore progressions on various races, along with their lands / cities and perhaps some of their mysterious empowerments (Sunwell, Loa, wild gods, World Tree, Elements, Incarnates Blessings, etc).

Nah, Anduin is the best leader

The Sha has influenced him, just as he hangs around people who don’t question anything. Malkorok, for example, had been a bad influence on him.
