And I agree. See: Flourescent Fluid.
One of us has closely watched how this item has tracked over the last month+ … and it isn’t you.
Saying the dynamic should be changed so that you can PRACTICALLY farm it (again: Flourescent Fluid), isn’t a “free handout.” It’s encouraging gameplay.
Every one of your arguments is terrible.
Legoinfall supplies and garrison supllies first please. I can still use my war supplies and anima for pet charms.
How is that “agreeing”? Fluorescent Fluid barely costs anything. 10-20 gold for a cosmetic item is basically nothing. By “a bit more” I’m talking about 1k-4k for a cosmetic item, not the equivalent of farming 4 Peacebloom in Durotar.
Of course it’s me. But you don’t seem to have any clue how the AH and supply and demand is working. At the start of the expansion there was tons of hyperspawn farming and people were leveling professions… and much more engaged in questing. The market was extremely saturated by Sinew, also because players took their time to climb up in Renown. The demand got bigger but at the same time the supply went down over time.
I get bombarded by Fluids left and right passively just by flying around a bit and doing some stuff. There are also tons of mobs who have a drop chance of 100% or near 100%, so you could practically farm all these cosmetics in less than 1 hour or not farm at all and have it after a few days. Or just buy it for a few small bucks. That’s not encouraging gameplay.
Sorry, you’re just salty because you want everything right now at once and can’t have it because you don’t want to put in the effort and make some gold, to aquire the cosmetics piece by piece. I’m having a hard time taking this seriously after all of your exaggerations and these weird takes about “tokens!!!” and mean AH goblins, while you don’t even know how economy in the game works.

Blood of Sargeras, too!
How could I have forgotten.

ROFL… this expac has been out more than a year. IT’S ALMOST OVER!!!
Again, all your arguments are terrible.
Then what have you been doing this whole year?
Sinew has been cheap for quite a while and you had a lot of time to aquire some gold pretty easily.
Considering how fast this answer came you probably didn’t even read them properly.
It doesn’t take long to read petty, ignorant musings.
What else have we forgotten? Oh the legendary currency from legoin, the bfa currency for visions, pretty sure bfa had a crafting currency too
. Oh oh soul ash.
What I’ve said about the economy are pure facts. That’s not my problem if you don’t like them. Besides that I’ve asked you a question. What have you been doing this whole year? According to your achievement history you only started playing DF recently. So I’m not even wrong by assuming you want all these items right now at once and don’t want to work through all the pices.
I’ll just… let this hang out there for posterity.
That’s pretty much your answer right there. It’s like they don’t have confidence in their current patch/expansion to prevent people from going back and farming old content
Okay, then continue to be mad about someone disagreeing with you and showing how some of your statements are flawed.
This discussion was kinda unnecessary anyway because Sinew is hardly comparable to Genesis Motes. The motes can basically only be aquired by grinding out thousands and thousands of mobs in ZM, which is excessive, especially because some of the old hyperspawns seems to have been nerfed. Sinew can be bought freely in the AH and there are many different ways to aquire gold so it’s not a brainless and numbing grind for months.
So a couple things here.
Yes you are right that sinew is in a far easier situation since you can just straight up buy it. That being said, they are quite expensive and the amount that you need is excessive and is frankly a very dingaling-block thing for blizz to do since they are required for mogs you already unlocked through renown but are then surprise-gated by them. An extremely scummy thing for blizz to do tbh.
Genesis motes on the other hand are BoP and you require thousands (and they drop very minimally from mobs in ZM) to get all the mounts and pets. Not to mention the lattices but that’s another story. The amount of motes required is so massive that there’s literally no way to get all that you need through regular play. You have no choice but to go out and deliberately grind them for many hours.

It sounds like it maybe? Something was nurfed but not sure what
Or maybe just make them BOE. There are probably lots leftover in people’s banks that they would be happy to sell. Blizz gets to clear out the item database, and lots of players are happier. win-win.

That’s exactly what they silently nerfed around Thanksgiving.
I wouldn’t call 260 pieces “excessive”.
They add up. It quickly snowballs into thousands of gold. So yes, I would call it excessive. They’re expensive because only one or two types of mobs drop them and they’re spread out across the ohnaren plains and there is no quest for them so you have to go out of your way to farm them and the drop rate is quite low.
Of course, the number required is no where near the number of motes for the ZM stuff though.
Yeah I gave up during SL farming those Genesis motes it just got so damn old for hours farming them…I am still short a few mounts and pets from ZM…
