Gems from nodes?

Aren’t gems supposed to be mineable at a low rate or were they really only from prospecting?

I’ve gotten a couple from nodes, dawnstone and a elunes eye or something, rich Addy’s and khorium are the better drop rate/chance ones

man I have mined a ton of them and nothing, glad to know its just horrible luck…

I’ve only gotten 2/3 out of them, the drop rate is super super low, you’ll get come eventually

They’re very rare. I won’t cite you a number cause my memory is hazy as all hell but I defintely remember getting gems rarely from nodes, whether they were from khorium or rich addy only… only blizz knows.

Yesterday, I had a good luck streak… one hour of farming got me two living rubies and a dawnstone from mining. I guess I farmed Netherstorm at the right time!

It’s a less than 1% chance per tap.

It’s far lower chance to mine them from Outland than from Classic nodes. Have gotten pretty lucky with 2 greens and a blue, but majority of the gems will come from prospecting.

Which is why the 2x ore is usually more valuable than 1x bar.
