Is there an addon that will show the gear score of other players? I want to be able to easily check if a player i invited to my heroic dungeon was not lieing about their gearscore.
Is there an addon that shows players gearscore that are listed in the lfg tool? So i can just select the players i want.
You can’t check someones gearscore without being able to check their gear and you can’t check their gear unless you are within range to inspect them. So no you can’t check someones gearscore in that way.
You can however check after they are near you and you can do as you wish with that information.
Yeah but cant addons work together. If they are kmowingly and willingly , i dont know if those are real words.
I mean i have addons that show me the stuff my other characters have in thier bags, mail, bank. They are not near each other and are not even logged in at the same time.
So couldnt an addon look at someones name, in the lfg listing, send a request to that persons add on and request thier gear score. Then fhat persons addon sends the information back to the other add on. Both players would have to have the addon installed. And by installing it you would indirectly be volunteering to share your gearscore. And anyone that doesnt use the addon i just wouldnt invite.

tacotip shows ilvl/spec/gearscore but only in person. You can always just ask person about their gs
Maybe in theory of someone made a new addon that sent their gearscore to some database that could be queried by anyone else requesting it, but as far as I’m aware no such gearscore addon exists. The API doesn’t natively support requesting someone’s gear from across the map.
Don’t need it. LFG Tool fixes the need to check gear scores! /sarcasmFont
Yes. If they have gear score it will show automatically, otherwise if you inspect them, you’ll see their gamescore.
Then you can kick them for not having the appropriate gear score.

not in lfg, but i use an addon called tacotip… shows GS and ilvl on mouseovers.

Definitely need a gearscore feature added to LFG tool. I will only be accepting the highest ilvl people for my heroics.
6k gearscore in the first week or gtfo.

I feel like this is just a troll post to get people stirred up. Also gear score doesn’t mean nothing for heroics. You are running heroics mainly because you don’t have gear…
Heroics have achievements that I wouldn’t trust low geared players with. Also, to optimize badge farming, I wouldn’t want any low geared players in my group. I need a gearscore tool in LFG so I can tell these people apart quickly to reject their request to join the group.
Why is this anti-RFD person talking to me about gatekeeping… Gatekeeping is your whole identity.
This probably is a troll post but you’re crazy if you don’t think people are going to be gatekeeping their dungeon groups using some kind of gear score, io, achievements.
Why wouldn’t you want rdf added if you didn’t want to hand pick your groups and make sure undergeared players don’t end up in them. (Even though rdf still lets you do this but the anti rdf people can’t figure that out for some reason).
We have to explore what we can do through Weak Auras. We’ve had good weak auras in retail to show information from players.
But we’ll probably have a use for an addon with a database and site ranking for gear score (the updated version lowers drastically the score if the plate user is wearing a cloth for example).
With that, working similar to RaiderIO, we’ll be able to filter very much the participants in our groups.
