Gearing is terrible and unrewarding because of casuals

Don’t know your specific class/spec but chances are there are some BiS’s that can be found in a raid that you can’t get in a WQ.

Different play styles and paths if you don’t like non-instance content then do instance content me personally happy non-instance content doesn’t suck soon in 8.2 patch ftw!

I wish we could delete TBC so the Horde wouldn’t be forced to have an elf race.

There, now we both made a lot of people mad!

It’s definitely a problem. All this gear that’s raining from the sky just makes getting an upgrade all the more meaningless. Getting gear upgrades should be from improving yourself as a player. Not doing trivial content and winning the lottery.

Gearing up is like playing the slot machine. It is very very unrewarding. You look at a 390 Emissary item and you have a 365 or so item and it gives you a item you don’t need or want. How is that rewarding?

Stick a quarter in the slot machine watch numbers and icons spin around hoping it lands on the right one is not very rewarding. The RNG feel is way out of control. The Emissary loot for 390 loot should let you choose which Item you can have.

Let me see are you blaming casuals for gear? When the gear doesn’t drop in mythic and raids for a person what do you wish them to do? Do want them to just sit there while you go about getting yours’ and place barriers to which they can’t get gear?

Sorry,to inform you class is there >>>>

Hmmm… You realize most people get to a point and can’t improve right? I don’t believe getting upgrades is about improving your playing level. It is about playing the game and doing content.

I haven’t improved my game play since Vanilla/BC. I did “hardcore” raiding back then. I did Mythic raiding in Pandaria and became a casual heroic raider after that.

I’m a casual, and I can tell you that AS a casual I also find the gearing system terrible and unrewarding.

Even casuals want to earn things rather than be given them.

How do you earn something?

I caught the last 50k HP of Ivus on my hunter the other day for a 410 trinket. I know I autoshot at least twice for it.

Sweetness! You sure as heck weren’t going to solo it to earn it.

Wut?

I’m going to be generous and assume that you’ve mistaken ‘earn’ for ‘deserve’. Otherwise, it’s simple. You earn something by doing work and being appropriately compensated for that work. That’s why IRL they’re called ‘earnings’.

oh look a mythic raider crying about gear mean while has gear better than most casual players anyways… sir… what you have to say about what others gets holds no value what so ever. stop crying over spilt milk all cause blizz doesn’t cater to you pleabs

Yeah, “WUT” do you consider work? Exactly what I was asking you the first time.

You would have to delete TBC and Legion for that.

also the gearing system is fine as it is don’t like changes to the game( many over the last 14 years) then wait for classic then yeesh.

So the removal of character progression, I am sure this thread would soon be forgotten from the Upcoming amount of “New Zones are Overtuned” complaint threads.

I’ve seen a Shadow Priest in mostly 395 gear being torn apart by hermit crabs on the PTR. I do not know what would happen to a 370 Rogue main there, much as a 330 character.

Maybe a skilled 330 Vengeance Demon Hunter could hold his on in a long drawn-out fight with the common mobs there using mobility and crowd control but I highly doubt he would make it too far with most of the rare elites.

You’re being argumentative for the sake of it. Ask a sensible question instead.

Sorry, you can’t define what “work” is to earn something. Anyway, great insight… LOL!

What about that question isn’t sensible?
