But… insta gpies
Im the OP (Dotdeath, idk why it posted on that toon.) Im not saying we should start out with badass gear at 120, grinding out benthic makes it easy enough to get a decent set so you aren’t at 89k hp wasting everyones time in a bg. Im not saying the gear from pvp should be stronger than M10 etc. i was the most active in WoTLK, Cata and somewhat in MoP. Back then yes, you had PvE people that were extensively geared you had to go against but it was nothing like today. I hear people say all the time how gear doesnt matter in pvp now, which i dont understand how someone with 200k hp going against someone who is 10+ geared with like 465k hp unless there is some in BG scaling im not aware of. My point behind all this was people who dont mind grinding out mythics, raids and other PvE content have their outlet. Used to us PvP guys would cap, run bgs, get decently geared, run arenas etc etc etc and end up being competitive against PvE’ers. We don’t have that outlet anymore. The best route ive found for myself is getting my benthic gear, upgrading most of it to 400 and run PvE content that i cant hardly stand. i see alot of players on here going at each other when the problem isnt us. Blizz should have kept these options open for people who like PvE to get geared grinding PvE, and PvP’ers having a viable way to get geared other than doing content they dont enjoy or running bgs over and over until capping and MAYBE ending up with some gear that wont even be effective against mythic gear.
Everyone enjoys playing the game their way.
You could have stopped there.
So many stupid decisions and lazy development work. Vendors for PVP would take up a few hours of development time, but that’s time not spent by them making sure the turtles can get to the water…
If we had pvp vendors do we go back to scaling in BGs?
What item level would the honor and conquest vendors be?
If they did, they would have to add a similar system for PvE content as well. No reason why PvP players should have a way to plan out their upgrades and not them as well.
I’m all for the WoD scaling system. Anything that’s like Legion is a hell no from me.
My only complaint with WoD is PvP gearing was SO much better than basically anything else until mythic.
Hit 100. Do ashran half afk for near heroic raid gear.
Remember the justice/valor, honor/conquest days? i dont understand what was wrong with that system. All this random gear crap and getting the same useless pieces over and over blows my mind. Make it where you can plan out what you want and buy what you need. Leave benthic in for people who just capped, do like Honor 420 iL and conquest 450. Do the same with pve
Well Ashran doesn’t exist anymore as a primary source of grinding honor. We also have Mythic + which provides ample amount of gear and on top of that if they bring back tier sets, PvP gear will never stand up against PvE geared players in PvE scenarios.
The only point I can see is at the start of a patch which again if people don’t like PvP they can spam M+ now.
I almost choked on my drink.
It’s over though. There is no catch up. No point in any new player even starting.
Care to reiterate?
450 for conquest when mythic is 445 is a sad joke.
i was just making an example, it obviously would take fine tuning. And ive seen mythic gear at 450. Used to conquest gear took some grinding to get.
Mythic baseline is 445.
Conquest with no rating req that high would be nuts.
Rated already does drop 445, but the req rating is prob too high.
What about Honor gear at 400 but then it scales to 430 in PvP combat?
And then conquest gear at 415 that scales to 445 in PvP combat?
Too bad the best gear is from Mythic+ and Mythic Raids.
That’s because cheap, easy pvp wins are a reward to mythic raiders for choosing to play the game right.
This is probably the best approach.
