I play DK as well a tiny bit, and I would recommend using Dark Sim especially against fire mages. If you can afford to let them get a gpy off, dark sim it really quick before it goes off and then you get an instant Gpy 
Silence is nice to have, some classes still have it. Hell if you go Blood you get a silence as a PVP talent.
Also you get AMS and Anti Magic Zone… I’d start experimenting with some of those you might find something fun that you enjoy using.

Yes they do, but that is not the spec I am running. For every gain you must give something up.
I do just fine as is destroying things, and players but I enjoyed having that silence which made life easier.
well lets hope the next unpruning thing they’re going on about makes classes as fun to play as tanks as far as toolkits go… really sucks not having spell reflect baseline as arms

After WoD I just haven’t been able to get into PvP.

Wait, hoping you get a piece you NEED for winning an arena isnt a good gearing system? Weird.
It’s almost like another area of this expansion where they just mailed it in. Hopefully Shadowlands sucks a lot less.
Spell Reflect was more a prot ability and unless you played around with it before wod you will never enjoy its true potentiality.
Another ability I want back is Lich Born was helpful for breaking fears.
Yes it is. When I say PvP gutted PvE I’m talking about the balance changes to make a class less overpowering in PvP. Didn’t mean the gear one bit.

well i have mass spell reflect as prot currently. it’s pretty hilarious
Try protection warrior with 45 health left against 2x warlocks both dotted me up as I popped my spell reflect they exploded themselves.
Back when it reflected multiple spells.
