Grinding out bgs for pvp gear was one of my favorite things to do in the game. Now I just play classic.

When you actually enjoy the content you’re doing, the “grinds” don’t feel like grinds, you just don’t notice them.

It gave me measurable goals with attainable rewards while allowing me to learn the spec. Now if I want to tank a fresh 120 and pvp it’s either get completely destroyed or run m+ or lfr for gear. The latter is the only choice and by the time I get some pve gear, I have lost the will to play.

I have no idea what game you, and these other people played. You must have played a WoW private server or something.
Fresh max lvl? Always got destroyed in PvP. Nothing has changed. If anything, it was worse in Vanilla. PvE gear too powerful? It was 100% that way in Vanilla, BC, and Wrath.
Conquest cap rewards 430 gear now. That is generous for yolo bgs. Between the CTAs, PvP islands, the daily wins and a handful of rated games capping can be done in a few hours.
I understand. You want to sit afk in town and queue yolo bgs. It is fun, I enjoy it too. But be realistic in your expectations. You aren’t going to outgear a heroic + raider that farms keys/ ap and does wqs by doing a handful of bgs. And you certainly aren’t going to be mythic ilvl, which is what it sounds like you are asking for.

Dumb people are just dumb. Nobody said anything about outgearing mythic raiders by doing random bgs and you don’t get 430s thrown at you if you just leveled to 120. You first have to go through about 8 conquest bars of trash 400-410s before u can get those, and there’s no way to do said conquest bars w/o entry gear.
Fresh lvl alts always got destroyed in pvp that’s not new, what is new is that there’s no way to bring those alts to semi decent levels through pvp.

You are right. Dumb players are dumb. Are you asking for heroic quality gear to be mailed to you when you hit max lvl?
No way to gear? It’s literally the same way. You queue yolo bgs as newly max lvl quest/ green geared toon. Get stomped. Eventually earn a piece. Repeat until you are decent enough geared to be relevant.
It’s just not as fast as doing all the content available to you. And spoiler, it shouldn’t be.

I agree that they should bring back PvP vendors. But I also think that in order to make it on par with other PvE vendors that you need to spend more resources if you want specific pieces, just like the m+ vendor.
I’m also of the opinion that you shouldn’t ever be able to spam low level content for high level gear. Random queue BGs are the PvP version of Raid Finder. You should NEVER be able to spam either of those for heroic raid level gear. Period. If you want good (a.k.a. “competitive”) gear, then do the appropriate freaking content.
I’m all for having heroic and mythic level gear available at a PvP vendor, but you better have to actually work for it by doing appropriately difficult content such as having “X” amount of rating to be able to purchase.
I’d also be 100% in support of BGs having i-level ranges to combat mythic players trying to zerg them.

Heroic quality gear mailed to you for hitting the cap describes the WoD pvp gearing system pretty well.
This already exists, just its more difficult to get the 430 and 455 gear through pvp than just doing mythic+.

So you are telling me you enjoyed gearing through bgs but now you play Classic, a game where competitive gearing for pvp mostly comes through Raid pve gearing…
And if you havent realized thats what the devs have been trying to promote all this time in Bfa, to get your pvp gear through M+ just like it was in Vanilla.
Only difference is modern pvp players got very spoiled with pvp vendors, thats Blizzards own fault.

Why would it? We see warforging and titanforging on PVP gear already. What difference does it make if it’s a random drop after a BG or something purchased from a vendor? Also, Benthic gear is purchased from vendors and plays into the slot machine hook with the possibility for gem slots.
Basically, they have no real reason to refrain from bringing back vendors other than “because I said so”.
Again, dumb people are just dump. Honor gear was nowhere near heroic ilvl gear, it was the entry level gear for alts and new players.
That is usually useless and with the wrong stats.
At this point you’re either trolling or just mentally challenged, if it’s the latter my apologies.

Cause I watched complaints on forums over Arcane Torrent having a 4 second silence that was changed to make them happy.

what? man mythic+ got trashed in bfa.
but I can understand this I comeback after a 7 month break and it was better to do dungeons but I couldnt be bothered because the guild I’m in nobody talks (dead to bfa expansion it had 3 raid teams) and finding a new guild for a couple weeks I just gave up and got everything I wanted done but I dont see myself doing pvp in bfa again specially for gear.
I’d say that was a good change. A free silence was pretty dumb for PVE and PVP.
But I remember in season one how assassination rogue was nerfed “7% less damage in PVP combat”…
So separation is a thing too, sadly the PVE part of this game has really screwed PVP over with all the broken gear you can’t get from PVP.
I’d say you are blaming PVP for no reason.

Good change for casters maybe, but now I am dealing with hit and run casters yea silence would be good about now.
