Getting stomped on in bgs due the gear disparity is a joke. 1 person in 5/5 unchained feels like a mini raid boss and one shots fresh players.
The way gearing is at the moment is bad design. It’s not enjoyable or fun and even after you finish farming your honor gear your still at a huge disadvantage. Make highest gear obtainable for casuals and not by being ranked 2.4k in arenas which is not obtainable for casual players.
Yes, you will be punished for wanting to play alts or coming into a season late. Not sure what you expected, you don’t pay for this game to have fun do you?
“alt friendly” expansion compared to BFA btw… with conduits, soulbinds, covenant campaigns, dailys, legendaries, gear vaults, oh and to top it all off, you have to start with crappy honor gear which is worse than last seasons unranked gear.
If you do not stay ontop of 2 or 3 toons every week, you fall behind.
I dunno how anybody does more than 2 toons. 3 too much. And at least the unranked gear goes up to 226 next reset.
Remember when there was a crafted pvp set?
Remember when you could get your honor gear in a day or two just by doing PvP, and it was almost as good as conquest gear?
remember when you could stack the stats you wanted and not be forced to stack vers?
Remember when you didnt rely on borrowed power and could hop right into PvP when you hit max level instead of grinding for weeks to be competitive?
Stacking stats you want… reminds me of the multistrike build I had in WoD. Miss that stat.

honor gear will scale up to 229.
Which it should have at the start of the patch. Everyone should have been able to start off on a level playing field going into the new season. Instead, anyone that did not push to 1800+ last season was permanently behind with honor gear only scaling to 216.
It will still cost 89k honor points for a full set of honor gear so anyone that wants to gear up some alts will have a massive grind ahead of them. In wod a full set of honor gear cost 27k and was only 10 ilvls worse than conquest gear.
Hope you ready to spam some epic bg’s for dat honor for alts.
But yes I agree, it should have been available the moment season 2 dropped a week before the arena season started so that when s2 arena/rbgs began everyone would, as you said, be on an even playing field.
And are you saying that you DON’T enjoy the artificially inflated time requirement to grind honor for a sub par gear set that’s only exacerbated by the fact that you are grinding whilst undergeared so the impact you bring to the bg is lower than the overgeared boiz? What a wild take.

Think we all expected BiS PvP gear from Conquest from BGs. That is what we expected with a vendor. That you could Conquest cap however you want skip Arena/RBGs and get BiS. That is how it should be. Arena and RBGs should be for titles only not gear.
You 100% should be able to ONLY do BGs and get BiS PvP gear. Like how we could in WoD with Ashran.
You had templates and scaling. Niether were good enough despite being the best WoW has ever been in pvp in terms of jumping in whenever you want instead of first going through boring gear grinds.
BFA’s wonky scaling is better than this rating cutoff crap. Templates and their rigid stats were light years better. WoD and season 2 MoP and on were better too but they can’t neatly fit that system in seasonal patches with 4 tiers of raid gear anymore I think.
