I oom after killing 2 mobs, and i can’t queue cata dungeons yet…what’s my best option, buying gear from auction house? can someone give me a rough estimate how much it’ll cost to get high enough ilvl for cata dungeons? ty guys
It depends on prices on your server, what you happen to buy and whether you just keep it in your bag and sell later, or equip it.
Keeping in mind that you can sell it after you’ve got high enough ilevel elsewhere, you may end up earning gold through doing this.

I just did this on Faerlina Alliance last night. I don’t recall the exact ilvl (I think it is 210 or 220, something like that). I bought some ilvl 283 greens, particularly for slots I had low ilvl on, and heirlooms. That was about 300g for me altogether.

Weird, my first 80 toon was a disc priest, I didn’t have issues, but I did go to Hyjal, not sure if that makes a difference.
Does depend on the server. Mankrik is the worst one when it comes to the AH, everything is posted for a redonkulous and ungodly amount.
289 greens on the AH on every other server would be between 200g-400g altogther. Mankrik would be like 1500g or more. Good luck buying any lowbie greens while leveling, 400g minimum on everything, even on “of spirit” gear.

If a 283/289 piece is too pricey, look at the 272s, they’re generally cheaper, even on Mankrik. They’ll still get the job done, and Vashj’ir just sucks so bad, why would you go there?
Lol, joking, but still a suck zone. Hyjal is a lot more forgiving and you can work on gear there until 81 if you’re still missing pieces.
