Gear gaps are too big

It’s almost like they need to shave off one of the difficulties of content from both raids and dungeons and then lower the gap slightly between tiers

I totally agree and checked this out today actually. I have a PS LK game and checked the pvp vendor. For a 2200 rater it was 158 ilvl for a 1500 rater it was 151 ilvl… only a 7 ilvl difference not a biggie.

Now in shadows, we have like 4 brackets for pvp gearing ratings , so the first arena gear would be like 200 for example { non rating needed } then say at 1800 rating it jumps to 220 itlvl etc etc. where as the pvp gear is similar to mythics… a 200 ilvl is like mythic 3 gear.

So bottom line: say raid gear or mythic 15 gives 260 ilvl same for a pvp 2400 rater, that is a major gap in BGs of 200-260 ilvl

All good points if the bulk of our power wasn’t from Covenants, Conduits, Soulbinds, Legendaries.

Things people aren’t factoring in is someone who has high Rank conduits, BiS upgraded Leggo and maxed out Renown. Or maybe they farmed Stygia and socketed all their gear.

Someone could be higher item level and actually significantly weaker due to borrowed power. Yes you want the best gear as it increases your borrowed power but the GEAR GAP isn’t from traditional gear now. Those days are LONG GONE!

The Gear gap is Covenants, Conduits, Soulbinds, Legendaries.

Max Renown is 6% stam too FYI.

Awesome points, yeah which is also turning off many ole school players, is these confusing and unnecessary trait and build systems, that was never missed in earlier expansions.

But you are correct that we are not taking those into consideration, which will be a huge impact overall… that’s why for now with just the pre patch im not sweating anything yet as far as my class goes. And I am dif not worried about not being 130ilvl right now seeing a new game is weeks away. TBH im just waiting for TBC when pvp started to be good .
