GDKPs - How To Ban?

I stopped coming to the forum 16 years ago so I’m sure this was hashed over.

How could blizzard actually stop them if there is the concept of master loot?

There is literally no way to ban a raid from deciding how to split gear when a single person decides how loot is distributed.

Blizzard is OK with it so…

And they wont because all those bots subscription that are farming the gold for those gdkp is bringing good money for them. (People’s seens like they cant read op post… Them refer to blizz… Sigh)
They only have to ban the bots each x time and voila free money.

Blizzard is fully aware they exist and is on record saying they are fine with the loot method.

So I guess to answer your question they don’t ban it.

It’s up to the player to decide if they want to agree to those terms.

The thing is, they don’t need to. The problem is the RMT and dirty gold that pollutes GDKPs, not GDKPs themselves

It’s the gold sellers and the people that buy it they need to go after

If Blizzard really wanted to do something about GDKPs the first thing they’d do is just announce that GDKP behavior is now banned and the fear of being actioned over it would be enough to kill a lot of GDKPs from forming to begin with. To go further they could do things like make gold not tradeable during raid, and a further step of making gear unable to be traded after leaving the raid.

It wouldn’t prevent it, but it would really annoy players still trying to do it because you’d have to trade with them and then hope they pay after the fact.

That all being said I don’t think Blizzard really has a problem with GDKPs.

That is weird, because you have a DK on Classic WoW with 251 posts which means you have been active on the forums at last in the past months.

Good way to start a thread, OP. With lies and fallacies.

And of course, GDKPs living rent-free in your head.

But people would just use discord to form them so it wouldn’t do anything really.

Tell that to the boosting communities that got told the way they were setting up raids over in retail were no longer going to be allowed which forced the entire boosting community to restructure itself to fall within compliance of it despite there not being an actual in-game systems that prevented them from ignoring Blizzard’s new stance on it.

I mean you have to ban ML then. Good luck with that.

But if it meant the end to LC then I’d be ok with that LOL

I’m not sure if you’re actually as obtuse as you’re coming off as, or are just baiting. Neither scenario justifies a continued use of my time though.

You can’t simple say “we don’t allow boosting”. It still happens in a different form.

I take my wife through RFK as an 80 and I’m gonna get banned? How is that different than giving 50g to do the same thing.

How is running naxx and trading gold for drops any different?

How could you even make a system to detect it?

It isn’t.

All the best gdkps are on server discords.

I rarely pug a gdkp from LFG.

When I start doing GDKPs again shortly, I will also use discord for it.

Thankfully grobb is a gamer friendly place.

the solution is personal loot.

Why blizz nuking that with DF. Because no one wants it.

Thank god that isn’t in classic wow. What a horrendous disaster that would be lol

Why would Blizzard ban a perfectly legitimate method of loot distribution?

I’ve played wow for many many years and only had ninja looter problems 5-10 times.

I’ll take the risk over personal loot any day.
