GDKPs banned in SoD. Let's see how it plays out and if good, do the same for Cata. Or personal loot

when this guy ban gdk in cata too or personal loot pfff ( 99% boomer that cant even make hm bosses )

I see zero issues with LFR being allowed at this point to be honest.

sorry, i dont know what you’re saying

literally all banning GDKP did was cut the price of illicit gold, congrats you won lol, now everyone can get twice as much for cheaper and pump it into the game instead of keeping GDKP gold in GDKP raids…You took a problem and expedited it… Now people who don’t buy gold are going to swiping their credit cards for raid consumes.

Still gonna run GDKPs. This isn’t really complex lol. Blizzard can’t even catch gold buyers and sellers. This workaround is insanely easy

Why did it feel mandatory for you? I was in a guild. I moved from heroic dungeon gear to normal guild raids. No one ever suggested I do some lfr to get my gear up for guild runs. I have never done a lfr raid.

Well, you make it easier for them when you say you’re going to be doing a banned activity.

It also reduces the need of illicit gold, sure people might RMT for raid consumes but how much gold does that take? I don’t see how people who aren’t RMT’ing will RMT now that GDKP’s are banned that just doesn’t make sense to me, consumes don’t cost that much gold and it’s easily farmed, always has been.

^^^^^^

its not so much “defending” as “searching for weak spots in Blizzards decision” which is a good spot IMO because it shows that Blizzard doesnt have the answers either…just the power.

I deny.
GDKPs are against the spirit of gaming.

the fact that 99% of the forum feels the same as you do is sad.

bots / RMT has been around since almost day 1 of WoW… GDKPs havent been a real thing since like… 4 years ago?

yet you all whine and complain about GDKPs because its convenient for you.

do they contribute to RMT? sure… literally everything does. is it 95%+… get real…

I get that it felt mandatory for you. But in the reality of the game the simple fact was that it wasn’t mandatory. Many, if not the majority of players didn’t feel it was mandatory and went straight to guild runs with just their heroic dungeon gear without doing a single lfr raid and without what ever tiny upgrades you might get from lfr. Why didn’t you just progress to raids with H dungeon gear like most players? Why was something that was clearly not mandatory feel mandatory to you.

Only problem is Blizzard sells gold in wotlk/cata… they don’t in SOD… so with the gdkp ban they pretty much confirm they know gdkp is a major problem because it motivates the biggest problem in the game… bots/rmt…

but…

dog that might affect our coin sells so its ok here…

Is this mentality new to you? Chances for huge upgrades like trinkets and tier set bonuses in LFR might as well be mandatory for anyone who likes to take raiding somewhat seriously. It’s always been like this. It will be even more so the second time around.

What? LFR came with the last raid. Nobody who had been playing the expac was going into Dragon Soul in dungeon gear.

I played from vanilla to BfA and no one that I knew did lfr except on alts they didn’t have time to do guild runs with. If you’re saying that hardcore players who have to min/max every aspect of the game found it mandatory you could be right. But you should realize in OG they were a very small percentage of the players.

Oh no, pathetic GDKP losers and gold buyers won’t be able to make it. What EVER shall we do?

It’s important to recognize that there are valid arguments both for and against GDKPs. While some players enjoy the increased efficiency and agency over loot distribution that they provide, others feel that banning GDKPs is not the solution. After all, players should be free to play the game as they see fit. It’s like the water company telling people to conserve water, even though it’s their primary source of income. Banning players for engaging in a particular playstyle, with the risk of losing their subscription fee, is not a sustainable business model. Ultimately, it’s up to each player to decide whether or not to participate in GDKPs. Remember, the decision of how to play the game should be left to the players, not the game’s administrators Good bye World of Warcraft.

These bots existed long before GDKP’s where even a thing.

 Are people really this delusional?
