GDKPs are destroying the game

For the love of god something needs to be done about these GDKPs and the associated GOLD BUYING that is facilitating it. Gold buying is at an all time high imo. It is extremely hard to build a progression run as any decent player is now running to GDKP and all the others that are not buying gold just cant afford it. Like seriously is it that hard to ban the accounts that are buying the gold.

stop using ML which rewards are based on seniority, gender, and attitude then people will join you

Start taking the items that are not BiS but are legitimately 5 dps less and then saving thousands of gold.

Get paid from the extreme min/max obsessed players, or join a guild. People have been asking Blizzard to fix cheating for years, hasn’t happened yet.

I think you may be missing the point of what I was trying to say. Im not concerned about getting gear its about the fact that the game isnt fun when its pay to win. I miss the days of progression and completing this as a team. I find people in general are more distant and largely just raid logging. Not like the communities in the days of old.

GDKP’s aren’t inherently bad, the only thing that people find to be bad about them is that they incentivize gold buying.

If Blizzard just banned the sellers, buyers and bots then I think people would have a more positive outlook on GDKP’s.

Weird I’m in a guild that still clears everything as a team weekly. Can’t be that hard to find.

Well, that’s what a guild is for dude. No one progressed by pugging back in the day.

One thing I respect ffxiv for realizing, that wow simply hasn’t, is that people paying money or gold to NOT PLAY the game is cancerous…

Boosts, paid carries, and gdkps should all be banned. The easiest way to go about that is simply action any and all advertisement for those services in game…

Hell… Whitemane trade and lfg chat basically looks identical to retail’s now. 9/10 posts are some gibberish name selling boosts, or some degens advertising their gdkp.

The good news, is that blizzard has already provided the tools within which the community can fix this, even without blizzard getting off their bottoms. Now hopefully blizzard would make it official to just ban these practices outright, but until then simply use the right click report system and report every boost, carry, and gdkp post. If enough people on each server are able to do so, then the “totally not automated, we swear guys” RCR system will auto boot and squelch the people engaging in the game killing behavior. They tried to virtue signal and pretend to address this issue a few months back, but it’s time for real action.

  1. Don’t ever reference god in a request. You’re implying that if the devs are atheist or just hate god; they shouldn’t do it. Keep your silly religion out of the topic.
  2. Players decide if they want to go to GDKP raids or not. If you don’t want to, then don’t.
  3. Blizzard should not care about anyone buying or selling gold in the first place. This is stupid. What they should do is put in tokens.

People buying gold will never stop plus GDKPS are fun and been clearing hyjal and BT since week 1 made over 20k but spent most of it on 4P T6 as others said don’t have to join them but blizz won’t do anything about them

GDKP isn’t destroying the game you’re referencing.

It’s just that the game you’re referencing is gone and never came back.

That’s the big misconception people have about Classic. Your game never came back. What we got is the only version we were ever going to get and it’s not going to change. Start coping or unsub.

There are no PUG progression runs. Join a guild. Don’t blame people for wanting efficient pugs, and GDKPs are known to usually be good pugs. People don’t want to progress in pugs…lol…

maybe if they stopped the bots and gold buyers …oh wait thats just new players according to blizzard

PuGs can be good but mostly aren’t because of new players, mainly the previous raids though current raids are full of people that know what to do.

You’re right, GDKP’s are generally better because there’s an incentive which is a cut of gold which does wonders to a players want to be good.

This is the only reason that people dislike GDKP’s it isn’t GDKP’s itself, it’s because GDKP’s are assoicated to RMT. If Blizzard banned bots and gold sellers/buyers permanently, then I’m sure people would be more open to GDKP’s.

Make a guild. Fill a roster with like-minded people. Stop crying about how other people pug their own raids. Building a progression raid takes effort. Lots of effort, more than it does when the content is actual progression for everyone. I’m also a fan of ‘I showed up late but still want the progression feel’, but GDKP aren’t the problem. I’ve seen ZERO advertised on Ashkandi since coming back to TBC. 60 classic was littered with them.

I’ve bought the same 50g(sometimes 100g depending on mid bid) item in multiple GDKPs while wearing mostly T4 gear that was chilling in my bank, to just cash out on GDKP runs. 500-800g for 2 hours in Kara… Full send every time. Too lazy to go in as a pumper.

Whoever you’re raiding with, ugh, find a new team. That’s not a problem with the system, it’s a problem with the people.

Which is why LC is both the best and the worst loot system.
