Don’t worry, the people looking to raid are already using discord and not LFG. Coincidentally that’s also where all the GDKP’s fill from.
The only groups using LFG to fill are in desperation mode standing inside the raid/at the stone. LFG groups hold the same status as all other trade-chat formed groups. Wastes of time.
Dungeon boosting isn’t a thing anymore, all your knowledge is from Vanilla and TBC when it was big but you can’t. The only boosting that I know of is Deepholm boosting which only work because of high density, hyper spawns.
And no, you shouldn’t be using LFG to look for dungeons, you should be using RDF.
If you don’t want to see it in LFG then /ignore the people who are advertising it, simple.
No, simply stating that people look in LFG when wanting to join a GDKP.
No, not cheating, they removed it and has been removed for at least 4 months. Blizzard should be aware of it.
And no, I don’t GDKP.
Boosts don’t exist outside of the Deepholm one.
You think it’d be a good change to separate the auction style loot system raids from the MS>OS and SR raids. Well okay, I disagree.
Rdf is for random dungeon finder. I see plenty of people looking for group to queue up together (hint it’s called LFG not LFR)
That is a terrible solution. Not only are you ignoring the players, you are ignoring every single one of their characters. Meaning less interaction with people. Why couldn’t the same methods be used to ignore the WTS boost people? Because it’s a terrible solution.
People used to look in LFG for boost aswell?
Yes, so gdkps could be removed aswell from LFG
Make it make sense
I’m saying put gdkps in the services channel where it belongs as it is a service.
People buy gear = service
People get paid to carry people buying gear = service
Hosts make gold off the carries and buyers = service
This is something I’ve thought as well. As much as I enjoy reading these goofy threads, it’s weird that he keeps getting bites on his posts given how obvious he is.
To be fair, none of the people who consistently take part in these GDKP squabbles on either side of it are actually trying to have a conversation in good faith, but Ripsod in particular has a pretty obvious gimmick to his posts so it’s pretty wild to me that he not only constantly gets replies, but he’s even somehow managed to upset a couple people so much that they’re essentially obsessed with him now.
Eh, it was Ripsod, Zaalg, and Frost brigading threads on GDKP, lying, and being generally hostile for the last year. I think it’s just habit at this point to refute everything he posts since it’s so easy to point out the lies.
Don’t think it works that way on classic. I know it was changed in like SL or something but I’ve definitely had guildies on ignore on classic and I still had to read their stupidity when they post on alts.
Yep, I remember that too. The obvious lies from everyone was especially funny. Watching each side try to make an obviously false claim and be hostile to each other then get mad at the other side for doing the exact same thing was hilarious.
It’s been a mess. Like 3 or 4 people total in the last year have been open to actual discussion. The rest of the conversation has just been back and forth pointless insults and strawmanning. (And yes, I’m aware that at this point I’m openly hostile to certain posters, they’ve earned it by being completely hopeless to “discuss” with)
Well given that you constantly lie and are trying to get it removed from the version of the game it’s not banned in, I’m gonna say the side you’re on is your own and you have an agenda. Don’t know what it is, don’t really care. You’re clearly not a very good player so maybe it’s related.
It’s certainly not related to RMT because you don’t seem to be aware of how rampant RMT is at this point. It’s not exactly GDKP related. If anything I’d lay the blame at Blizzard’s feet since the introduction of the token 10 years ago basically said “it’s fine if you RMT as long as we get a cut”. I’m sure that had an affect on the playerbase they cultivated.
