Well that’s a bit extreme LOL
There are plenty of real people who play mages, they will just get their characters deleted XD
But there is definitely a 1:1:1 between RMT, Boosters, and GDKP guilds
Players built there own pay to win system because of a total lack of moderation
I think the idea that there are “rules” in official HC that will be enforced is laughable
They dont even have the capacity to enforce the rules which already exist
The willingness by Blizzard to have Boosters and RMTDKP just shows they are banking on getting a Vanilla coin setup.
It is how they conditioned the WotLK community to accept the coin, and they have now facilitated the same portfolio of problems for Vanilla.
The solution is to not participate in the cancer culture. Classic players read the writing on the wall with tbc and chose Era. Wrath now has the Token. Feed the monster and the monster grows.

I feel like we, as players, need to develop solutions to these problems
My opinion;
Daddy Blizz is trying to make these problems worse, so they can offer the RMT service to the Vanilla community

Give players hacks and they will hack.
Blizz should set the boundaries for their game. Not their players.
Blizzard said no GMs wonder why?
You dont act like this in real life, be better.
This is why Era is a chinese RMT bot paradise

I know people love to act like blizz does absolutely nothing in this regard (they do way too little).
However they do ban people for this. People still do it.
If the player base wants to stop RMT the easiest way to do it is to stop participating in RMT.
Anything else blizzard does will just change how RMT is handled. Anything people pitch as a 100% removal of RMT would only change how it would be handled and dealt.
that’s a good point
the worst offenders are going to skew heavily into the population that hates leveling
so first thing is to just eliminate all boosting

punishments are too lenient and evading is too easy
zero tolerance perma ban with lots of good surveillance for catching RMT would do the trick
blizzard just doesn’t want to invest the money in such a thing
I’ve reported a fishing bot 2 weeks ago with two different accounts I have.
I didn’t get any reply from Blizzard and bot is still going hard 24/7. You log in at any time of the day and level 20 bot is still fishing on the same map. Then ofc posts like 500 stacks of Stonescale Eel at the same time on AH with same bot.

GDKP > DKP > loot council > soft res > hard res
I’ve seen people fish botting in full t3 characters. There’s just no way blizzard is banning anyone.
" i saw a guy farming a lot so i automatically assumed he must be botting"
-90% of people that claim they see bots go unbanned for months
People throw out bot accusations for spending more than an hour doing anything these days
Yeah, it’s pretty easy to tell when a character is a bot. Pop a fap and get in melee range with a hunter and watch them spam 100 wingclips.
It’s not surprising to see you defending botters.

disappointing. but not surprising
Im not defending botters but ive been accused of botting and seen people accuse other people of botting for just playing the game normally.
People throw out bot accusations way too liberally these days.
Its funny how your defense of legitimate players being innaccurately labelled as botters by couch detectives is interpreted as defending bots.
You know all they would do is /who dire maul and ban every hunter in there
Every mage would get banned regardless of if theyre legitimate or not cause mage boosted
This is why player moderation is a terrible idea.
I would. I have a 60 Mage. I’m tired of being scrutinized for simply being a Level 60 Mage
I’d like to think so, too, but it seems to be a “gift” that only some (not all) of us seem to possess.
Again, I’ve seen some pretty ridiculous claims of what constitutes as “a Bot”.
Again, “bad player” =/= “botting”.
Kayberz (specifically) doesn’t defend cheating. As far as I can tell.
Owns, on the other hand, IDK. They like to attack ones making arguments rather than the facts themselves.
My evidence is them attacking the guy exposing the developers of HC instead of addressing his arguments. One thing I think Owns and I SHOULD agree on is banning gold buyers. Yet, Owns can only attack the one who presented CLEAR and concise EVIDENCE of a gold buyer, I didn’t see Owns try to drag that particular gold buyer through the mud. Instead, kept attacking the one with the evidence.
So, I don’t believe a word that comes out of Owns’, mouth.
Kayberz is different, though.
