You realize most people participating in the GDKPs had gotten their gear for free from raids with their guilds right? Majority of the carriers are alt characters of people that are in guilds raiding with loot council or ms>os. Being able to bid on gear isnt the only reason people go to GDKPs. There are very many pros outside of that.

To me the game is about the effort you put fourth and the relationships and team building that occurs to make end game gear come to fruition, not a business transaction in an old game that was never intended to be p2w. Gear should be earned the hard way, or given by Lady Luck - not mastercard or visa. Thatâs just my take though and yes you nailed it gear doesnât mean anything in this game anymore because people just buy it to flex on those who actually play the game, which is rather ironic and most certainly cringe but thatâs just my take. People who think GDKPs donât incentivize gold buying or RMT are willfully ignorant or just swipers looking to cope. I ran into a few swipers back in my 19â Era days and they either blatantly lied about buying their gear or laughed at those with worse gear despite them earning it the real way. Iâm sure thatâs not everyone but yeah⌠Does anyone actually play this game anymore?

Heres the thing -
GDKPs are doing the fights no different than you do in an HR or SR⌠Theyâre actually doing the harder fights that most HR,SR and MS>OS+1 are more often than not unable to do, so theyre putting in MORE effort than the alternative pugs out there. I dunno where you guys get this idea that just because you buy gold you get loot easier. Buying gold doesnt make the content easier, it doesnt make the drop rate better and it doesnt make the item any better than the ones people are getting for free.
Its not that people dont think GDKPs incentivize gold buying its that we think that everything that involves in the game incentivizes it and if youâre going to get rid of GDKPs for that reason then you should also get rid of:
Auction house
Crafting professions
Guilds
Arena
BoEs

This is just not true about no progression guilds Iâve personally been in two guilds that do MC and Ony and are working towards BWL.
Its a loot system. It doesnt matter if you think its a form of gambling. Its a raid group and belongs in the group channel.
I and many people haze zero reason to run zg/aq20, mc, ony,bwl, ect. But we still do regularly because of gdkp groups.
These lower tier raids would struggle to fill and be cleared successfully if it wasnât for the veteran players doing them in gdkp groups. It gives players a reason to run raids well after they have every piece of loot they need from them because they can accumulate gold to pay for their expenses and eventually try and aquire those last few pieces of bis they are missing in higher tier raids.
Gdkps help create a raiding ecosystem that incorporates players of all stages of progression to help each other achieve their goals. All raid tiers remain relevant no matter how geared you are.
Ive been in many gdkp groups where i know for a fact the group would have disbanded if me or certain other players werenât there to carry the healing or tanking. Players got loot, often for cheap, and i got gold for my time, everyone walked away happy

If you think buying gold isnât for the sole purpose of improving your character, which definitely includes obtaining gear then your argument is contradictory and doesnât warrant any further discussion.

You can buy 10 million gold today and never see what you bought the gold for drop. How did that gold help you?
Yes, thatâs been made clear. Multiple times. And, as always, Iâm not paying my way into a friendship which is how I play. IK you want gold for âyour timeâ, and I refuse to cater to that mentality.

You canât advertise your gambling raids. Doesnât matter if 40 people are involved.

And GDKPs are a raid group that is forming.
You can advertise it in its appropriate channel.

GDKP is NOT a sell but a gamble. As folks are placing bids vs a set price.
