Have never denied that but ok.
Yeah, that $15 is killer!
You, literally, can get gear, for free. Iâm not wasting my gold on GDKPs.
Again, my story proves this, that Iâve literally shown you can still get gear WITHOUT spending gold. You wonât be âfirstâ, but youâll get gear.
Heavily opinionated classic Andys who canât let go of the past and expect everyone to conform to their dated 04 mindset are cancer.
We still talking about how all GDKP participants are gold buyers in here? Such a cringe way to play the game
It was my fault. I bumped up this thread, to share my story. You should read it.
GDKP are a dog poop system that just reinforce buying botted gold. Extremely toxic to all new players.
Sorry, but until blizzard puts their foot down and does something(they wont)GDKPS will continue to plague and plague until the token is introduced into WoW classic just like it was done to Wotlk.
There is nothing wrong with GDKPs in theory, they were just fine years ago back in the original wrath/BC, when the majority actually farmed their gold and put in the work to get what they wanted, but times have changed, people no longer want to wait to get what they want, they want it handed to them on a silver platter with no questions asked. This has caused GDKPs to rot and plague and turn classic into the P2W trash can that it is today, because players run GDKPs 100% knowing that the gold pot is bought from bots and not actually farmed. This will never change due to two reasons.
- Blizzards lack of motive to eliminate and give longer bans to RMT buyers
- Blizzards lack of motive to do anything about GDKP knowing that the gold being transferred was bought from bots and not actually farmed
It is what it is sadly.
Nope, GDKPs are always cancer. They signify that players want to subvert the gameâs design for Raid BoP loot and reduce the event to a soulless transaction.
Even though I agree with you to an extent, back then they were nothing like they are today, because people hardly did them due to gold actually being farmed instead of bought. GDKPs were very rare to find on trade chat, most of the time it was done through the guild and the guilds didnât just let anyone come into the raid and bid on gear, you actually had to have some reputation with the guild or atleast be known by a large amount of the community.
It was completely different back then and it wasnât the plague like it is today.
I agree with you Smokinggreen. If my memory servers me right. Some guilds ran it for alts and allowed them to bid of stuff for the guild bank. In itâs original form they were ok because nothing went for 10K+. Once you start to see those numbers in todayâs runs⌠Iâm sorry but there is no way in hell you have farmed for that much gold. And I mean, months into a server not after 3 years and even then to have 80K+ that means you dont spend on anything not even consumables/enchants and what not. No alts, No respecs (I used to have to farm just to respec twice a week) just not believable.
I dont play classic but damn
Its an intimadating barrier to entry for new players however outside of that its the best loot system for pugging, hands down, regardless of RMT
Absolutely speechless! /smh
You dont have to believe it. But in a 40 man raid id rather leave with something than nothing. You can like inferior loot systems all you want
Tells me all I need to know LOL
Its sad tbh. The rmt involvement made the gdkp a bad system. It used to be good until the time when everyone could buy gold for a low price with no ban.
Gdkp had a down side aswell. You cant tell if someone is well known with its class or just bought his gear in. Same with pvp.
soft reserve pugs are peak WoW raiding
Soft reserve pugs tend to fall apart and generally have lesser skilled players in them which leads to raids being longer than necessary and also having to deal with people leaving when the gear they wanted didnt drop.
Hard pass
Drama is a feature not a bug, only ever seen one person dip though in all of classic so Iâve clearly been denied some juicy drama
Has not been my experience.
-People were âskilledâ (IMO, anyway)
-Fairly moderate run.
-People stayed 'cause you can STILL have a chance to win something, they did NOT SR. Since, you can only SR one thing (typically), and thereâs no guarantee youâre the only one SRing it.
