Right you can get gear there on an ungeared alt! its a carry. And lets not pretend there aren’t plants in on it to make sure the house takes the majority of the cash, this is like three card monty level of sham, you can’t sell fake bags and burnie dvds, did canal street get shut down during covid or something?
It’s dragon kill points but you can pay cash for them. Seems like a good system
I see bots everywhere I go. Perhaps you just aren’t aware
Lay with dogs you get fleas
Actual DKP is the same thing.
Part of the problem is that Anniversary servers are mega-servers so all the bots are concentrated rarher than spread out among however many servers Classic '19 had. RMT will only be resolved if it becomes profitable for Blizzard to do so, which seems highly unlikely.
Well you realize its skeevy old people scamming lunch money off of spoiled rich kids its even worse,
but hey victimless crime right?
‘There is a reason it would increase the demand for gold just because it provides another value for the currency.’
I said this right above. Did you read the whole thing before replying.
Bingo. Since there is really only a few mega servers, assuming the same number of bots but now more concentrated, its a lose lose for everyone. Blizzard thinks they addressed it by changing black lotus respawns and banning GDKP’s but they didn’t.
We need SOD style Black Lotus to drop off any herb or maybe a currency vendor of some kind like turn in 20 misc herbs for one (Spitballing idk).
Or add back GDKP’s and there are no more gold or economy issues, just gearing alt issues (which already exist anyway.) Like the original post said, I am biased in favor of GDKP’s.
Gdkp is the best loot system I have been a part of. It’s so refreshing being able to bypass guild politics.
It would help if there was like 10 layers open permanently I would think right? That by default would at least increase the supply of all the goods needed. Regardless, we want GDKP!
Also, shoutout Blizzard with a rare win. I forgot about this thread until I got a notification that it was incorrectly flagged by viewers and restored. People with opposing views trying to shut up anyone to create their own echo chamber and make sure someone that thinks differently can’t have fun
Blizzard said without GDKPs there is less RMT and botting. They were SO RIGHT!!!
- Less botting/RMT because players get gold from raids, no need to swipe.
hahahahhahah
there probably is less RMT, honestly speaking.
but there are more reasons than gdkp of why some people might want to RMT.
they should have also banned boosting for gold which is another huge contributor.
warriors “needing” LHH second week after launch contributes to RMT. i saw SO many warriors with LHH, epic mount, and full boe items VERY early on.
if gdkp was allow it wouldnt have stopped any of that.
if gdkp was allowed people would be swiping each week to bid 40k+ gold on items like nelths tear or drake fang instead of swiping 500g for mongoose and flask.
gdkp ban was the best thing theyve done in a long time. not banning boosting is one of the worst thing theyve done.
Getting paid to do content where you don’t need gear keeps the raids Alive and let’s people get gold for carrying a raid.
RMT will always happen unless blizzard has in game GMs to ban bots and monitor suspicious transactions in real time
it also kills guilds when a few players no longer need gear and stop helping their guild progress because they gdkp instead.
this is correct, with or without GMs. the point of the gdkp ban wasnt to curb RMT in its tracks, it was to mitigate the LARGEST CONTRIBUTOR to it. its weird they didnt ban boosting too though.
GDKP only works with gold buying whales which is why you conveniently said to ban the bots and monitor the transactions vs banning the players who buy the gold in the first place. GDKP = RMT laundering. PERIOD.
thats really the only way itll end. ban the players who support the bot networks. bots wont stick around when they dont have customers to sell gold to, but you dont want that becuase you need teh buyers to pay you
Buyers won’t exist without sellers. Blizzard will never stop either of them anyway.
RMT is always tempting because let’s say 40/hr irl. Can you farm 2kgold in 1 hour? If your schedule is tight and you wanna blast…
Guilds are falling apart anyway because no one can afford to raid right now. Guilds can run LC or SR and find members even with GDKPs.
go back to era where gdkp is allowed. problem solved.
Un did it
…
but the sellers will always exist. all they have to do is create a new account and in a matter of weeks theyll have gold to sell again.
i could easily counter your argument by saying there wont be sellers if there are no customers.
no guilds are falling apart right now except for maybe the most sweatiest that want to compete against the top of the competition.
im led to believe that yOu DoNt NeEd CoNsUmEs for raids.
