The irony of someone telling others to stop clamoring for GDKPs because they aren’t going to happen and to give it up all while creating posts and even an alt dedicated to calling for the removal of world buffs when it’s never going to happen and seemingly having no intention of giving up.

I’m literally blessed by RNG gods.
The only thing I never get is swords. I’m cursed for swords.

I love GDKP for gearing alts but not as a gearing system for my main.

Also GDKP is pretty inaccurate, they aren’t dragon kill points, they aren’t carried over to another raid, they are Gold Carries, you pay gold to be carried to loot, it is a part of the shopification of WoW which I won’t blame on a particular segment of the population, color, creed, ideology, or gender, but it is definitely not playing the game.

Exactly. Realistically to raid each week costs a few hundred gold at this point. Having more gold in hand from raiding on alts would and has made the games playability far greater.
Obligatory reminder that GDKPs don’t create gold it just changes hands so whatever need to farm / buy gold that exists without GDKPs still exists with them. There is no reason GDKPs would reduce the demand for gold everything else being the same. There is a reason it would increase the demand for gold just because it provides another value for the currency.
GDKPs absolutely create gold. Gold is being farmed and sold explicitly for GDKPs. You remove the demand, you remove the supply.
Now obviously there are other demands for gold besides GDKPs. Blizz should address them. But you’re incorrect saying gold isn’t created by the existence of GDKPs.

That’s also not true. While the name is a misnomer. It uses in game gold as the points used to bid on items. points are accrued via the split at the end with the option for the raid leader and/or main tank to take a small additional cut.
Assuming the latter options are not in play, if if the total gold paid into the pot for auctioned items is 40,000g, all 40 people will receive 1,000g at the end of the raid.
IT was pretty awesome for alts because if you do not get gear (or if you get cheap gear) you get paid to raid.
Less bots.
Less random adds on discord saying “hey join my discord if you want cheap gold” for some reason they always had the gdkp discords as mutual servers 
It’s clearly made it more difficult for them to sell gold. They were doing alright during the boost spam. Now that everyone is levelled they are struggling again and we see these gdkp threads pick up.

Yeah you notice these threads come in batches? We might go a week without any. And then suddenly get 10 threads over a day or two. All made by characters with no posts.
It’s not a mystery what’s going on. I’d guess the threads disappear when these people are hit with temporary bans (probably for gold buying). Then when the ban ends, here they come again. Rinse and repeat.

They are mad websites are taking cuts from them when they used to be able to sell it wholesale through discords.
Just poor people trying to make money while others want to have fun
