Actually, the removal of GDKP forge the even more direct version of RMT.
The people on Taiwan server simply engage in RMT bidding for gears on a massive scale during the temporary removal of GDKP.
They had invited participants to a raid to a social media chat channel where people could bid for gears with cash. The winner would send money to the RL, and the gear will then be given to him. In the end, the RL distribute money in the pot to everyone in the raid.
This RMT not only took place on Taiwan server, but is currently happening on Crusader Strike, on a much smaller scale of course.
Yes otherwise might as well put up gear in the Cash shop and let people buy it through there.
played games where GDKP was relevant but thing with those games is the gear has random stats. so if your trying to min max good luck cause you can just buy your way into specific gear but when you get it could have the worst stats/mediocre stats. GDKP in those games are now irrelevant all the good gear can be bought in the AH but itâs pricey AF

All gdkpers and gdkp enablers on this forum and ingame should be permabanned unironically. You want to make the game sh1t for everyone cause you want to personally profit off it.

Reading this further. Its like you are saying the people that were gdkping before are just cutting out the middle man and using real money.

GDKP uses ingame currency there shouldnât be any restrictions on what players choose to do with there own gold.
Gold that is bought with plastic!!! It wasnât really earned/farmed, have you ever heard the phrase âguilty by associationâ? Just because you might not of bought the gold does not mean the other people in the group did not buy their gold. So there for by allowing them to bid and pay for items bought through RMT you are there for guilty of RMT.

Sorry you donât need to buy gold to play in gdkpâs.
News flash gold is a ingame currency that was designed to be used in wow you donât need to buy it because it can be obtained with abundance via mobs,quests and the auction house.

Merely stating what i have observed. Dont read into it too much.
People just canât get over the fact someone stopped them from skimming large amounts of gold off the top of their GDKP runs. Have to find another way to scam your way through in wow. Iâm sure you will figure one out, just use that noggin.

If they were hard core and fast acting on banning⌠well Iâm not sure what term I want to use. Sometimes we say âbotsâ but most of the obvious gold farmers I saw seemed to not be a bot. I logged in a few weeks ago for the first time in a long time and walked by like 10 Hunter âfarmingâ characters and just logged back out. You know even now those are obvious because of the Pet names and if you know you know what I mean.
Anyway if they were fast and furious with those bans AND then didnât just ban throw away accounts but especially when account A and B both log on from the same IP and trade the gold that was bought⌠last I was aware they didnât even ban the âthrow awayâ account it was just given like a 14 day suspension. Then they do nothing to the account the gold was traded to.
Anyway if they were fast on bans for both sellers AND buyers then I could care less if GDKP was in the game. If you want to actually play and farm up a ton of gold just to get carried through content and hope to outbid someone on gear you could get for free by joining a guild⌠well more power to you. Or any other âserviceâ you want to spend the gold you actually earned in game on.
For actual RMT I donât think I even care about bans. Take the gold and whatever they bought with it. If they paid for PvP ranks take those. If they paid for leveling take the levels. If they bought resources off the AH to level up crafting reset the crafting.
Iâm actually surprised the Federal Government hasnât put in some mandates on this by now. Considering where money paid for RMT generally ends up geographically anyway.
posting about GDKPs should be against ToS!!! This topic is 100% troll todays GDKPs are very toxic and have strayed far from what they where orginally.
The original GDKP system was great, There was non of this host,tank,healer top dps cut trash!!!
The original form was 100% of the cut was split between the entire 40man raid equally.
