you realize the server you’re on has many pugs other than GDKP, so quit attributing false properties like “keeping the game alive” to that loot system

It’s far easier to fill pugs when every member has an incentive to be there.
No im not going back to MC to maybe have a chance to roll on a binding that I don’t need. I’ll do it for gold though.

why? ff14 class system is much better, or even runescapes combat system where you can level all skills on one character
I don’t care about either of those games and have no want for every class to do everything. One of my biggest complaints about retail is that every class feels the same with minor class identity flavor and animations, but boil them down and they all feel the exact same. I don’t like it.
So yeah you went high and to the right when you said alts are bad design.

they mentioned it during the sod gdkp ban which set the precedent, and now it’s solidified with what I believe to be the most important reason, the community aspect, which gdkp does not foster

Because people know they can get groups for all content because GDKP has kept it alive… which has kept people believing the community will remain… which keeps people leveling new characters… which allows non GDKP pugs to form as well…

If one has a set precedent then so too does the other, but blizzard felt the need to inform that they’re doing it for community again but rmt is just now implied? Get off the copium.
If gdkps truly were the menace that brings mountains of rmt then logically it should just be banned in all versions but it isn’t. Kinda funny that you people can only cling to RMT as excuses.
It’s almost like you guys don’t actually even care about RMT and just explicitly hate gdkps and are willing to contribute every negative you can think of in order to dismiss gdkps, and just use RMT as a shield against criticism.

Every person in my previous guild from 2019 that did GDKPs on their alts all bought gold. Just my personal experience with the people I know. /Shrug

modern is not what I was referring too, ff14 class design does not all “feel the same”, you simply swap a weapon and you are your new class on the same character, with different level progression as well.

You said alts were bad class design in wow and all you’ve done to back that up is “muh ff and osrs” like I don’t care I don’t play those games.
Stick to why alts are bad in wow, not how much better you like other class systems in other games.
