GDKP Ban Explained

you just went from “cant group for MC” to “2 hours to fill” to “well those 25 pugs in blues cant do it” how far are you going to go to keep imagining that the only way to play is if people pay you gold so you can do them a service by playing the game with your character?

Guilds were doing 20 minute binding runs until the end of 2019 classic. This will keep happening. If you’re pugging MC to get thunderfury you deserve the struggle!

I suppose Blizzard decided that didn’t want people swiping for pixels this go around. I’m happy to see how it goes.

Cheers!

once again, I don’t know what your trying to say.

what im saying is if people will level alts with or without gdkp, and without gdkp the game’s life extends because those people aren’t presented with an immediate influx of gold to be able to use as an excuse to perform poorly in a raid so that they can get gear.
they will have to actually participate in the world themselves and thus keeping the game alive longer than the instant gratification that you are arguing for

what world? When people see the world is dead from lack of GDKP they won’t even bother leveling an alt because theirs no hope of finding groups in the future when you hit 60…

GDKPs reduce the amount of raid loggers purchasing gold for consumables, enchants, and BoEs.

Banning GDKPs increases the RMT for developers with an interest in that arena.

the world is not dead from lack of gdkp, there’s just no hope for you to be able to find groups to carry your alt when you hit 60 so you extrapolate that viewpoint onto the entire world, which is just false

Do you suggest someone commit to multiple guilds for each alt they wish to raid on?

Are there guilds that are willing to let people commit to only 50% of the raids?

instant gratification? LOL
Ive been playing 2x 60’s since 2019 and leveling another to 55. They are in a mix of MC/BWL gear… I can promise you there is no instant gratification with GDKP…

Its not much different than saving DKP in a guild as far as time investment goes…

I suspect many players plan on doing what I’m doing, leveling in p1, then raid logging main and not touching the game due to lack of gdkps.

I’m not carrying you bads for free, I’m just going to go play something else between raids lmao

I was going to level a mage because I dont have one in Era, but thats only if I have the option to merge my character with Era at the end instead of TBC, but I havent gotten confirmation on that yet.

I’m not even playing this time around.

I have 4 toons at max level, raid ready in SoD. Finding groups for them each every week is a chore.

A large majority of the anti-gdkp base has either never A) Created a Raid group or B) Raided on multiple toons.

With gdkps it’s just sign up in discord, either get invite or don’t, but it’s smooth.

Without, bro these /2 pugs are just awful. Sure I’m sure there are some golden pugs out there but pound for pound most of those will give you a headache without even a guarantee of killing every boss. Miss me with that, I’d rather go sit through Space Marine 2s loading screens because at least I know I’m getting good content after the wait, unlike with these pugs lmao

ive done both so that’s just wrong and is the same type of assumption as me stating a large majority of the gdkp base has bought gold

yeah it’s like a single player game which is another reason why its banned

I highly doubt you’ve done both.

Roster management is the ultimate boss in the game.

i highly doubt you’ve never bought gold strictly for a gdkp in the past year

It’s terrible. And Blizzard response is to commit just as much on your alts to a guild as you do your main…

Why would I would buy gold for GDKPs? Don’t I get gold for attending?

When people say most GDKPers swipe for gold it shows how little you know about the situation.
