GDKP Ban Explained

Oh god you really are 45+

Stay bad lmao, well just watch pugs die and the game become a raid log/gamk fest because there won’t be anything to do.

Bro elite to you is just killing the bosses lmao

Nothing is quite so funny as watching elitists coming in trying to strut their stuff bragging over GDKPs.

Just an fyi: most people don’t attach their ego and self-worth to a video game.

Yes. For $15 a month. $30 a month with two subs.

I’m starting to think, that WoW is all that people have going on in their life, so they attach self-worth and ego to it. Any attack on them as a player in a video game, becomes an attack on their personality and individual self worth.

It’s fascinating.

You join a GDPK raid and when something drops people that want the item bid gold on it. At the end of the raid all the gold collected is split evenly with all the raiders.

Some speculate that this puts more incentive on players to buy gold from gold selling websites.

Showcasing the average intelligence of a WoW player many people think banning GDKP has some sort of impact on Real Money Transactions (RMT). If this were the case we should have seen an immediate reduction of the amount of bots farming in Seasons of Discovery(SOD) server. Instead what we saw was the opposite. SOD servers introduced a phase 3 with two weeks of absolutely unchecked inflated gold farming in incursions that was heavily botted which lead to a completely broken phase 4 where if you didn’t participate with the phase 3 inflammatory farming you were left behind. This in turn has lead to SOD being one of the most lucrative versions of WoW if you are a gold seller.

Currently, for a one year old seasonal experience, Seasons of Discovery has inflation on par with Era servers like Whitemane. Bots are openly farming in the world absolutely everywhere and when you report them you get a nice in game mail thanking you for reporting them but the bots don’t actually get banned.

the TLDR of it all is that Blizzard wanted to be seen as “taking action” against RMT and since the anti-GDKP crowd is so vocal but stupid they’re easy to appease so they banned GDKPs and called it a day leaving the bots to pay their monthly subscription and continue to ruin the economy.

So fascinating that you go out of your way to make sure everyone knows that you don’t care how you preform in a team based game, anyone wanting to do better is elitist and they should be like you, and just not care, being a detriment to everyone else and their time because you want to be perceived as “not a toxic elitist gamer”

Your ego is the same but inverted, look in the mirror if you find it so fascinating.

You have never once formed or created anything outside of something that directly benefited you and it shows.

If you did, you would understand that it’s very simple and easy to educate newer players on proper rotations, consumes, enchants etc. In other words, it just takes people helping people.

You are very clear that there is a us vs them, in your head. I.E. The ‘bad’s’ and the ‘elites’.

The irony is, those same players, that you so despise, are also required for a raid to take place.

Wanting to be better at playing WoW isn’t a bad thing. I love it. But you are 100% so quick to demonize anyone who dosen’t perform on your level that you forget you were once there too. Instead of lending a helping hand and bringing them up, you just want to shove them down to the “bad’s”.

It’s very telling who and what kind of player you are, and why GDKP is the right place for you.

Hahahahahahaha sure gramps.

I’ve helped people who want help. There are players like you who laud the idea of being good at wow as elitist and have an innate aversion to wanting to be better. That is an average wow player. That’s why most guilds aren’t hardcore. People don’t want to be better, people want to be carried to loot for free.

After 20 years, yes, I’m tired of bads leeching.

Nope, there are enough players like myself to be able to avoid players like yourself. We don’t need you either.

In Classic Anniversary. You will.

I’m already in a guild that plans to have mc and ony cleared week 1.

We don’t need bads. Bads need us to go carry them in trash can pugs which we aren’t doing unless it’s a gdkp, which are banned, so we’re not doing it at all.

Go back to farming materials for me to buy cheap on the AH, all bads are good for

You sound like real ray of sunshine.

I am, when around people I like.

That’s not you.

rofl proof?

Exactly

It was a damned if you do damned if you dont situation.

If you joined gdkps, you were supporting RMT. Even if you werent directly purchasing, most runners are selling. Attracts raw botted gold.

If you didnt join them, you fall behind fast. Consumes inflate. No one running normal runs as they feel their time is worth gold (its a game).

If gold is inflated it means you could solo farm for herbs or something and sell it at inflated price. Boom! You’ve got enough gold for a GDKP

They’re not released for 3 weeks, so good luck with that one champ. :+1:

Yeah, just compete with all the bots that are doing the same :+1:

If you are worried about not making gold anymore, just farm instead.
