i suppose youve got a bias as your clearly a BM hunter. but as i am a rather thick headed person, i must ask specifically…
in your opinion, it is more enjoyable, and offers more opportunities for fun overwhelmingly fast/brutal kills in pvp as a BM hunter, than as a mage, spreist, or rogue?
if so…would a cunning pet such as a fox be similar in efficacy to the cat or is the lack of charge really that impacting?
im inquiring so specifically cuz if im doing a hunter, im using my level boost, i already leveled a hunter to max years ago and am familiar enough with the mechanics. but if im doing a mage, spreist, or rogue, im gonna level them normally to get my grasp on the mechanics kung fu grip tight

I wouldn’t say “overwhemingly fast” though it’s certainly possible in the right circumstances. Fun is entirelu subjective though. I happen to enjoy throwing a huge barrage into a gaggle of Horde as they run up the ramp to airship in IOC and I laugh when I see them get blown off the flag in EotS or off a cliff in AV.
For me, while damage and kills are fun, it’s the situational havoc you can wreak in a short anount of time that is immensely fun-at least to me.
But don’t get me wrong, seeing someone melt under fire is also immensely satisfying.
And yes, a cat (or any other pet from the same “family”) is supreme in PvP.
Utimately, for me, it’s less about individual capability than it is

doing something you throughly enjoy with people who enjoy the same thing. Surfy and I PvP at least once a day together during the weekend and I’d much rather lose with a friend than win alone.

Maybe that answers your question, maybe not. But I’ll say this, if you’re re-dipping your toes into PvP, I’d definitely go BM hunter until you’ve gotten the hang of other classes.

yeah i think that this conversation has basically revealed to me that on top of just having that familiarity with hunter playstyle, and it having been my fav back in the day, i also really just love the vulpera race, they are literally what brought me back to the game. the ability to play an adorable fox is just…absolutley fantastic to me.
with that said, the moment i knew of the fox race, i thought i want an army of foxes, i want a fox hunter with a fox mount and double fox pets and a fox companion and i want to prance around and goofily rp as some rediculous fox queen…i asked about other classes because im craving a different playstyle than the warlock/hunter ranged vibe…but like, thats what my rogue is for right? lol
anyway, your right, the fun is in the vibe…and although none of my old homies from vanilla play this game anymore (insofar as i know at least, goodness knows id have no idea how to find a bunch of old folx from stonemaul now) but im sure i can meet some. i too am a very social player and id rather lose laughing than win alone and focused lol.
so thank you for all your input…i think im gonna go make my Fox queen BM hunter on wyrmrest accord because the other thread told me theres decent community there and thats very much what im looking for
