It’s amazing how much a good walk can do to settle one. I think more than once it saved my marriage by walking rather than blurting out something hurtful that could never be taken back.

Hubby used to have a volatile temper. After it escalating to a degree that could of been avoided we sought couple’s counselling. He still gets angry and rightly so at times. He just learned how to take a bit of time to himself to defuse the worst of it. Then we can communicate and work through whatever the issue is. Walks and meditation can also help tire out a body and over worked mind in a pinch.

Thank you for saying so. It was a close call. Either we both needed to change in order to make it work or it was over. Marriage isn’t an easy thing to maintain at least it hasn’t been for us. We are stronger/better now though for going through it.

It’s so worth the effort. We’re 43 years into it and I can’t imagine not being married or with her, though I really think I got the better part of the deal.

I believe it is going to be worth it. On August 4th it’ll be 19 years for us. Lol not even half of what you have but we are still going. It’s lovely the way that you talk about your wife. It really is lovely.

I have so many apples at home. I think i may make 2 apple pies over the weekend, one with green and one with red apples. Or maybe i will use the green ones for apple tarts. Hmmm
