If I can somehow manage to get my Aussie citizenship back(had to renounce it for TS/SCI) to be honest unless I had a reason to stay I might…very well leave the US for good :frowning: its just majorly upsetting because I worked for 25 years to come here…

It really goes quickly. Except the last year. Ugh, that was forever. LOL.

My best advice is to protect your “home” self and make sure that’s well developed so when you retire, you already have that life waiting for you.

Sounds like my retirement only substituting honey-do list for work. A perfect retirement.

This is what I found. Looks like you have two paths depending on the reasons for the renouncement.

Alot of the older generation that I know went back to the workforce cause they got bored of being retired. When i retire, i just want to bake sweets all day

Nice. Now if I could only live long enough to enjoy your retirement. LOL.

I will leave hot apple pies on the windowsill for you! Maybe even a carrot cake or two!

Yeas Mate, you’re spot on!

Thank you kindly for the link. I’d love to stay and make it work but so far my ‘Edison is yet to make a functioning lightbulb’

When I retire I plan on traveling and talking to folks as a counselor of sorts. That would be nice

My dream had been to retire from the bank and have my own cozy little book store/coffee shop

Someday :smiley:

Great minds, Surfy!

@Rainy

I know things are horribly tough for you but since I can’t post links, I encourage you to listen to two songs that, somehow, managed to pull me through some godawful times including being a caregiver for my late mother.

God why is Hell March such a good song even after all these years?

Oh that sounds like a wonderful idea :grinning:
You could get Applejack to bake yummy delicious treats to go with the coffee, tea, cappuccino, expresso. Huggy could provide the juice boxes, (with bendy straws, because bendy straws make the drink.) for an extra special treat we can have Lady Cyndilou all natural delicious plate sized chocolate cookies. :yum:
