Takerās officially retired, as of yesterday. The Boneyard Match with AJ at WM36 was his last match, according to the man himself. Says he feels content now. Can be Mark instead of Taker. And honestly that makes me happy b/c after 30 years of playing the character, I honestly wasnāt sure heād be able to separate them. Also, incredibly happy that he got to go out against AJ. Imma make a pun here, but quite frankly, their match was āPhenomenalā.
Edit: Me vs Penta El Zero M in 2K19. Deadman, this oneās for you.
āGive em hell!ā
/salute
/grin
Honestly despite Pentaās smaller stature, he kinda reminds me of Taker.
Even used the Tombstone for a bit.
Had a feeling it would be his last.
It was a quality performance and AJ really worked well with him
One thing I didnāt realize until he said it recently, heād make his entrances longer if he thought the match was going to be a stinker - give the fans at least something
before WM36 he had a couple of rather long entrances /lol
I honestly didnāt know he and AJ were so close. It was also cool seeing his bond with Roman, and the moments with Michelle and his kid.
Really cool that he got to help two of my current big time favorites. Honestly, if anyone deserves to step back for a bit, itās him.
Surfy, that was one of the jokes on reddit about his entrance times for a while lol.
āGo make your snacks, Takerās making his entranceā
going out in a squash match would not have been proper either
This was a good way for him to ride off
Yeah, especially b/c father time donāt job. He always goes over.
Heās the one guy Taker couldnāt beat, no matter how hard he tried.
and aj willing to put on a solid loss performance was great
one of the things I never liked about folks like Cena is their unwillingness to put someone else over - like it would cripple their brand
Even the rock realized that superman needed kryptonite in the story or it gets boring
