…but it sounds like I’m in a warzone.
had to come back inside to make sure the cat wasn’t freaking out.
he’s too busy sleeping to notice.
it got super hot in here again, so i just put the aircon on.
gonna go do some game stuff and hope the cool happens fast

93 degrees.
i wanted to play game.
i think i’ll just go have a shower, and do starfish on the bed in front of the aircon with kitteh.
i need to find some new stuff to watch.
i usually just listen to murder podcasts, but if i’m spending time in front of a screen, i should be doing something which is actually educational.
i think i’ve already gained all i can from listening to murder stuff… i’ve got fancy yet useless stuff in my brain, like gas chromatography mass spectrometry, to diatoms, to mitochondrial DNA.
i need to find something new to insert into my brain.
I’ve also consumed all of the Baumgartner Restoration content, that was HUGELY educational, and Pulitzer Opal, and everything about Ancient Egypt… but i just keep going back to true crime 
(and i recently watched a whole bunch of tutorials on how to build miniature buildings out of cement… i want to build a castle “ornament” for the front yard) 
if anyone has ideas of anything educational, let me know!

it’s 30 degrees… with a thunderstorm.
thankfully i managed to get the awnings up in time before they got shredded.
it’s nice to hear the rain, but it’ll be gone in a few minutes, and we’ll just be left with horrid humidity
kitteh doesn’t like thunder. 
doesn’t care about fireworks, but thunder = scary kryptonite.

storm has passed now.
rain never lasts long here.
it only comes in little spurts.
we don’t get that thing where it rains all day. (this would be my dream!! spending the day in bed, listening to the rain on the roof!) 
the rain is usually torrential, and dumps all at once… causing flash flooding.
we had the best snuggle last night, he was feeling extra smoochy and wanted to spend the night sleeping in my armpit 
aircon in the bedroom was the best investment EVER!!!
