Would you want to see the Broken Shore like Warcraft 2 and 3?

i think i’ve just turned into the most boring person in the world.

i’ve spent every second of downtime in the past week learning about building regulations and specifications, australian building standards etc.

i can now walk into someones bathroom/wet area and tell them if their waterproofing is compliant

this is the guy i’ve been learning from.

the building industry is… stuffed.
people paying millions of dollars for buildings which aren’t even occupied, and already need a heap of demolition work

That is what my father did for a living. Build houses(Carpenter by trade).

I worked with him for about 5 years or so after deciding that school wasn’t for me at 14 and 9 months(legal age in Vic at the time…)

Hardest job I’ve ever done along side him was a project that took us 2 years to finish(the courtyard related buildings and other outbuildings took longer than this because there was actually more work in the exterior). Was built entirely out of second-hand materials(the roof trusses are from an old shearing shed, the external doors are from a 5-600 year old Monastery, along with the window shutters on the courtyard side. My father had to build an entire window frame out of rail road sleepers for the large octagonal windows. We also designed the ‘curly bits’ on the side of the roof up high. Those were not fun to fasten down)

James and I are still very good friends actually. He’s a heck of a nice bloke. Last time I was over in 2015 we visited him and his wife.

I watched one of the videos, and all I took away from it was “that dude is the Pitbull of zen”

Mr. Worldwide is running a bush retreat

It’s unfortunate that the clips didn’t focus more on the build, but what I could see of the building looked really nice with all the timber and reclaimed brick

Speaking of amazing, for those familiar with Warhammer 40K and the Death Corps of Krieg with some help from Sabaton.

The only bad part about it is the fact I typed in “human” and it…yet again…gives pointy ears. sigh

Thanks for linking too Sir  Much appreciated! Hope you are doing well Mate

Thats funny, I just finished the Dawn of War 2 campaign for the umpteenth time. Still don’t ever get sick of playing that game (now I have to do Chaos Rising again, but that takes a lot longer)

ps. I did have another one (pally pic) but its a bit more risque and I don’t want to risk a forums ban over it lol
