i think someone pulled the plug early, then went OH OOPS.
i’m all messed up with server times.
daylight savings ended here last week, and i’m all out of whack.
i wasn’t expecting maintenance to be this early.

nothing like wasting a day altaholic-ing for no real purpose or gain.
napped for a few hours.
woke up, looked at the world, had a snack and drink.
think i’m just gonna go back to bed where it was comfy

never a dull moment.
napped a little more, woke up to FEED ME NOW MYOWWW MYOWWW.
did his food and pills, sat down to make coffee… BANG! HONNNNNNNNNNNNK!
house shook.
threw some pants on and chucked a cardi on over my nightie, grabbed phone and made a run for it.
nobody hurt. car into tree… in a 10kph zone.
driver said she’d had “one glass of wine”. 
(from the third bottle, maybe?)
front left side of car caved in, lights smashed, tyre popped, suspension dead, the top of the bonnet was pushed down onto the rim of the wheel.
all the left-side airbags deployed.
it was a near new car… pretty sure it’ll be written off.
hopefully that was all the drama for the night, and i can make a yummy coffee, and settle in for some questing?

i stayed up all night doing dragonflight pre 0.7 world content., at least i got all my tender for the month.

update: car has been towed.
cat is now hiding in wardrobe with his “security thong” (flipflop)

i checked on him a few times, but he wasn’t ready to come out.
i wasn’t going to force him out.
he’s just come out now, and is sitting on the couch having a bath.
i need to give him his flea and heartworm treatment tonight, but i’ll leave him alone for a while and let him settle first.
it was a bit of an adrenaline bump… my first-aid training just takes over and i go into “fiercely focused” mode. Block out everything apart from what needs to be done.
Conscious? yes.
Talking? yes.
Bleeding? no.
scene safe? no… picked up some shards of shattered headlight and threw them onto the car near the wiper panel so they wouldn’t fall off when it went on the tow truck.
Told the woman with no shoes to stay off the grass.
(i’m so bossy)
I have a spare first-aid kit, so now I’m going to put it near the door, along with a torch.
This isn’t an isolated incident… it’s at least the 3rd time it’s happened since I’ve been here.
Old people and cars… not a great combination.

i really hope so… i love him more than i ever thought would be possible.
i want to do everything possible to keep him healthy and happy.
it’s been a huge intake of information, and so much learning.
i still worry about his health, but i’m MUCH less stressed now that we’re getting into a routine.
