Higurashi Mei and the Higurashi Rei Manga are giving a Planescape Torment-esque feel and by that I’m referring to the Nameless One’s Incarnations in Planescape Torment who face the death of the mind.
Witch Satoko is clearly being eaten by a later incarnation and Tamurahime no Mikoto clearly got eaten by Une as well. Furthermore Inori Mikazuki is clearly Hanyuu and Rika combined with her going Au Au like Hanyuu.
Speaking of Hanyuu before she perfected Rika’s looping to allow her to remember everything she called herself scent then disappeared as she gave Red Eyes Rika all her power.
I strongly suspect that all Witches are either Ouka Furude/Kinzo(Rika, Bernkastel, Erika, Lambdadelta, Tamurahime no Mikoto, Witch Satoko/EVA-Beatrice, Hai-Ryun Yeasomul Jedha, Hanyuu/Battler, Red Eyes Rika/Beatrice Ushiromiya/Ange, Inori Mikazuki/Yasuda and Une/Beatrice the Golden Witch), Featherine Augustus Aurora(Beatrice Castiglioni, Virgilla and Eua/Kumasawa-San) or the Ryun adoptive mother of Hanyuu named Asumu/Piece(who was eaten by Featherine before being spat out as a Witch).
Yes the above in the case of Ouka’s incarnations is in the presumed order of birth(yes Witch Satoko became Hai-Ryun Yeasomul Jedha who became Witch Satoko). Yes I believe Witch Satoko is EVA-Beatrice and taking credit for Mayor Kimiyoshi/Rudolph Ushiromiya and Dr. Irie/Kyrie Ushiromiya’s murders. Where did Witch Satoko keep her diary I wonder…
Incidentally that means that Satoko is George Ushiromiya and High School-age and older Rika is Jessica while Main Series Rika is Rosa(whose constant determination to get Red Eyes Rika and herself away from Hinamizawa killed both herself and Red Eyes Rika leaving behind Rei Manga/Gou/Sotsu Rika and Inori Mikazuki).
That means Kisaku Kimiyoshi is Kanon(explaining why Rika dies after warning the guy just as Jessica dies defending Kanon during Umineko Episode 2: Turn of the Golden Witch) even as Inori is Shannon. Kisaku is merely Inori’s illusion used to dupe everyone.
As soon as Ange/Red Eyes Rika(who brought Satoko to St. Lucia to sustain her existence as Une drained her) finds Satoko’s diary(upset that Witch Satoko left) she will allow herself to be consumed by Une/Beatrice the Golden Witch who has already consumed her other past incarnations.
Naturally Red Eyes Rika will be the one to help pry out all of Ouka Furude’s incarnations even as the true villains of Higurashi are brought low. Of course Erika Furudo has the indignity of having to share a body with Red Eyes Rika which naturally means that Red Eyes Rika is going to get Pigtails eventually as she returns to St. Lucia.
I’m just Kixi on a priest this go-around.

Why do I suspect that Demon Rika is infact the Yellow Eyed Rika and that the Rika everyone retrieved was infact the Tsukuyami?
If indeed the case and Yellow-Eyed Rika is represented by Ange Beatrice in Umineko When They Cry with Red-Eyed Rika being represented by Ange Ushiromiya in Umineko When They Cry then Demon Rika is very clever to halt the Nightmares the second her and Hanyuu’s Tsukuyami Copy is discovered.
Kazuho Kimiyoshi being implied to be Hanyuu by Tamurahime no Mikoto of course was turned into that by Demon Rika who will upon Witch Satoko/EVA-Beatrice’s arrival in the Part 3 Setting(thus replicating the Rokkenjima Catbox by having all the pieces present) turn her back into a combination of her old self and Une(I.E the event referenced in Umineko when Ange replicates the Rokkenjima Setting for Tohya Hachijo to turn him back into Battler).
Since Tohya Hachijo is supposed to be Battler(Hanyuu) merged with Beatrice(whom Une clearly appears to be) and Inori Mikazuki is implied to be Shannon(Beatrice) and yet also Hanyuu I suspect that Une is the Scent Hanyuu from Higurashi Gou somehow.
Since Beatrice is not the culprit with Kyrie(Dr. Irie) and Rudolph(Mayor Kimiyoshi) clearly being the culprits we will hopefully find out the truth in Part 4 of Higurashi Mei.

Just realized: Higurashi Sotsu and Meguri are different Gameboards.
Sotsu is Bernkastel’s Gameboard with the goal of Bernkastel being to split Lambdadelta’s Pieces apart while the goal of Lambdadelta is to stalemate Bernkastel for eternity by having Satoko constantly attempt to keep Rika in Hinamizawa for Eternity.
Bernkastel won.
Meguri is Lambdadelta’s Gameboard where Lambdadelta’s goal is to permanently kill one of her 2 pieces(which are Rika and Satoko) separating them from each other permanently while Bernkastel’s goal is to keep them trapped in Hinamizawa by first having Eua give Satoko Looper Powers then by killing Rika if she spends too much time in St. Lucia.
The irony is while there is a possible happy ending for Bernkastel’s Gameboard by having Lambdadelta’s pieces be convinced to part ways rather than force anything on each other there is no good ending for Lambdadelta’s Gameboard as long as Bernkastel and Lambdadelta are alive.
Thankfully Lambdadelta was incompetent enough to leave the weapons for her or Bernkastel’s demise in the Gameboard. Bernkastel is pretty much dead as is Lambdadelta. The second the Pieces realize what’s going on and who is actually forcing them to fight each other they will turn on Bernkastel and Lambdadelta.
I’m sure Featherine will be laughing uproariously over her & Bernkastel’s piece Eua getting the 2 most powerful Witches besides Featherine killed. She will probably declare Lambdadelta’s Rika & Satoko pieces to be her newest Cats alongside Eua who will keep the Rika and Satoko Pieces that Lambdadelta made for Bernkastel’s Gameboard as her Cats.
Speaking of Witches: I suspect Higurashi Mei to infact be one of Beatrice’s Gameboards with Erika or Bernkastel being the opponent(and Red Eyes Satoko & Eua being other Players wandering into the Gameboard).
Most likely the latter in which case we have Demon Rika, Demon Satoko and Demon Hanyuu as Bernkastel’s Pieces and Golden Eyes Rika, Golden Eyes Satoko, Golden Eyes Hanyuu(it’s blatantly obvious that Ayaka Furude & Kazuho Kimiyoshi are Dream Avatars of Hanyuu put in the role of Beatrice and Battler with their demise awakening Hanyuu into the role of Tohya Hachijo who was at risk of having multiple personas take over) and Nao(in the role of Ange) as Beatrice’s Pieces.
I also suspect that the Higurashi Rei Manga to be another Beatrice Gameboard with Inori Mikazuki/Hanyuu as Beatrice’s piece though who the opponent is is beyond me since the Culprit’s goal seems to be to resurrect Beatrice through the Witch’s Epitaph like in Umineko When They Cry.
You have a very in-depth knowledge of anime and nerd-leaning stuff in general. Seeing your posts makes me realize just how much more there was to those. I like seeing that kind of passion at work.

Just discovered that the Tau once fought against the Armies of Khorne and all they learned from that is that finding Khorne’s organization causes Mind-Science Rain of Blood that increases aggression to the point where all people exposed to it start wanting to start meleeing their enemies.
Tau are going to soon learn to resort to orbital bombardment when Blood Rain shows up.
Tau always learns from each battle by the way so they naturally have already learned this lesson.
They probably have already learned from their last encounter with the Death Guard to call in Ships with heavy plasma-based artillery whenever the Death Guard shows up since bullets and melee weapons rot in the Death Guard’s presence.
The Tau are scientists who look at things from a realistic perspective.
Khornate corruption of a world looked at from a scientific perspective would only be considered a lost cause if the Blood Rain made the aggression too strong. If there is only Lakes of Blood instead of Rain of Blood then the world is good for habitation.
Tzeentch Corruption of a world when looked at from a scientific perspective would be seen as safe yet an obvious target for Tzeentch’s schemes to get it Exterminatus’d and so would be placed under heavy watch while researching the Chaos Spawn that appear at random.
Slaaneshi Corruption of a world if looked at from a scientific perspective would be declared a death world that no one is allowed to leave if visited that would be studied by machines not by people.
Massive Nurgle Corruption of a world when looked at from a scientific perspective would be immediate grounds for Orbital Bombardment to oblivion.
I find T’au well-meaning in the lore but I feel like their armies play at the low end of “play the game stats” metas. They have Orkish shooting until they use their markerlights and it feels like they take too many extra steps to play. Orks seem exceedingly well-equipped to handle just about everything as long as you’re creative enough. Same with Necrons and Sisters of Battle.
Tau would be good for Anime in my opinion.
Since there are multiple planets named Earth as shown by Horus Rises one can be sure that a good Magical Girl Anime could arise in the Warhammer 40K Setting provided the Magical Girls get picked up by the Tau & Leagues of Votann.

Khorne’s Daemons are honorable and are willing to give people free powerups as gifts with no strings attached provided you give them something in return: Either your Soul or Blood.
In otherwords giving yourself over to him will drive you to madness yet making deals with him in exchange for a Boon with no strings attached will work in your favor.
A Red Magical Girl themed on Blood and an Orange Magical Girl themed on Fire both getting their power in exchange for slaying the monsters in front of them without losing their sanity is something that can happen.
The same can’t be said about Blue(Tzeentch), Green(Nurgle), Yellow(Nurgle), Purple(Slaanesh) and Pink(Slaanesh) Magical Girls who would be at constant risk of losing themselves because Tzeentch, Nurgle and Slaanesh are backstabbers.
Squats, Human Soldiers and Tau would be backing up the Magical Girls in Exo-Armor provided by the Leagues of Votann while sailing on acquired Imperial Ships.
The Tau Empire is best for a Magical Girl setting as the Imperium is way too hostile.
Speaking of the Imperium it is best for a setting similar to A Certain Scientific Railgun.
The Psykers of course would have to have gone through proper Sanctioning Procedures and be exposed to the Emperor’s divine presence which leaves them linked to him to the point where they will mentally communicate with him in their Dreams or when they think about their previous meetings.
The exposure would naturally leave quite a few of them with White Hair. They would have to be Inquisitors for they are the only ones with the freedom to do what they want.
A Ship filled with Sanctioned Psyker Inquisitors stopping off at random Hive Planets for days at the Mall or random Parks for Slice of Life with said Planets eventually being blown up by the Inquisitors(usually when one with an itchy trigger finger fires a Cyclonic Torpedo at said Planet) when someone says the names of the Ruinous Powers would be an interesting sight to behold.
Having Tech Priests going into sermons and speeches about the Machine God, Omnissiah and Machine Spirits will add flavor to the Imperium Inquisitor Psyker Slice of Life Anime as it shows the Inquisitors dealing with problems within the Imperium.
So Tau for Magical Girl Anime and Imperium for a Slice of Life Mystery Anime.
