tonights update.
the trees are in, the fences are in, added the flowers, and the pipes are in, and getting weighted down (yes, that’s a upside-down mini anvil)

piranha plant version 3 turned out ok, his stem is waiting for the paint to dry.
tomorrows tasks… give the frame a good clean inside and out, replace the wire hanger (i don’t like the one which is on there)
assemble plant with leaves, and put it into the pipe, and if all that goes well, final assembly in the evening! 
so… still plenty of time for stuff to go wrong

i really wish i was able to see it through someone elses eyes… i’m just really critical of my own artwork.
it feels kind of childish and a bit derpy, and i know some people really HATE handmade crafts as gifts… but even if it just gives him a laugh, it’ll be worth the countless hours i’ve poured into it.
…and it kept me busy during our last lockdown. (and beyond!)
i’ll have to start thinking about my next project now! 
i still have a dollhouse with an empty spare room, but i just can’t decide what sort of room it should be… a library, a music room, a kids bedroom… or something else

There is a Facebook Group called ‘World of Dollhouses and Miniatures’ Some of those are just amazing, it looks like real life stuff.
I’d never be that good, but I do make collapsible rooms and have tons of furniture for diorama’s in the 1/4 scale. I use it for photo shoots. The 1/4 size is pretty big, so I can’t leave the rooms out on display, which is why I had to make them able to fold up, and store away.

i’m in one facebook miniature group, i found a lot of them to be very snobby.
if it’s not a victorian mansion, they hate it.
the group i’m in, people make monster labs and morgues, broth… uh… “houses of sin”, tattoo shops, a Breaking Bad caravan etc
definitely more aimed at 18+ 
someone just made a butcher shop where it’s animals selling human meat!
(of course, someone was offended by that, but it was brilliant!)
most of my stuff is 1:12
it’s displayed fairly neatly inside cabinets, but i’ve hit the limit of cabinet space.

Idk how many times I’ve mined a ore, walk away, look at my mini map and see there is another one really close! Just to find out I didn’t mine it twice
