i went to do a test fit, and it won’t be able to fit centrally in the plumbing pipe!
it’ll hit the glass.
i won’t be happy with the end result if i off-set it.
i need to go smaller.
this is why projects take me so long.
even with the “measure twice, cut once” mantra, i still can’t get things right, so i just “YOLO!” everything, and deal with the issues later

What about a bend in the wire below the lip of the pipe? That way, you can offset the base pinning and center the pirahna stalk? Think something like this:

|yeah that was kind of what i had in mind when i discovered the mistake.
…but there’s not a lot of wiggle room in either direction
the frame isn’t very deep.
i’ve got 3 days before completion is due, one of the pipes is being glued/weighted down now… it better stick, or i’m going to have even more drama!
(will have to drill into the substrate or something)

my worst fear, is that i get it all together, stand back to admire my handiwork, and think: “wow, that looks like something a 6 year old smooshed together”

Either way is still light years above what a three year old can do with mostly dried out play-doh!
But for real, I think it looks great so far. I also read “content” as CON-tent and my first thought was, “Hey, Nobully had a crafts youtube channel! I’ll have to check it out!”
haha i thought about a youtube channelt at one point… but i’d have to caption it all.
i can’t stand the sound of my own voice! 
i’ve got version number 3 baking in the oven, i tried going smaller, but they’re already smaller than a cherry tomato, it’s hard going smaller and trying to fit in details like the teeth, so i tried making it less wide instead… with a couple less teeth.
they may not look small in the images, but i use macro for all my photos.
it comes out of the oven in 9 minutes.
it’s nearly 4am, i’ll take it out of the oven and deal with the rest of it tomorrow.
