Ready for the Blizzconline!
(Lady Cyndi Lou wanders back in.)
/waves at Cyndilou.
Enjoy the pre blizzcon festivities
“I am going to try and watch the con, but not sure if my Computer can handle it.”
I think you can watch it on you phone, on the link that I provided. Tablet will be better than a phone for a bigger screen.
I would be super excited if that was a new addition to Super Smash Brothers Ultimate.
yawn
boring day for me
sinful, single, broke
bad life but i’m not sick or dead
getting covid shots soon i guess.,. whee
hope blizzard makes cool announcements for fun stuff at blizzconline tomorrow
chrisp
i did something outrageous and changed my outfit!
…now i wait for the armory to update so everyone can see how pretty i am.
it may be nothing but i think i’m onto something here he was used to promote the game Knockout City along with some other characters just seeing it got me thinking blizz must be working with nintendo in some way
we will see what tomorrow brings
“I don’t own a cell phone, or a tablet. Just my computer.”
i saw that too Aev, hope they make cool stuff with Nintendo…
a warcraft game for the switch wound be nice maybe like a raid shadow legends kinda game
I hope its not Hearthstone, I refuse to play pay to win and I hate card games. I know Dioblo is on switch and Overwatch is too.
I would be interested in a Warcraft platform game version. I’ll look up shadow legends I don’t know what game that is.
i used to operate one of those machines.
i’ve got the borked knee to prove it
it seems technology hasn’t changed much when it comes to working in a spinning mill.
“Sorry to have reminded you of your pain.”
/hugs
i only worked there for about a year, the people were great, the work wasn’t too bad… but i had no idea that the demands on the body would last a life time!
looking at some of the modern upgrades to the machines, it seems they’ve changed the “knee stop” to a much less demanding hand operated switch
“What is that?”
when the machine needs threading, or when a strand breaks, you need to stop the bobbin from spinning to thread it.
there is a pole at the base of the machine.
you put your foot on the pole, then push up against a stopper with your knee, which puts a brake on the bobbin you need to thread.
if you look at the length of the machines in the picture, there’s a lot of little strings which can break.
usually it’s one person to a machine, the machines have 2 sides.
when an entire machine needs threading, everyone leaves their machines to help get the fresh one started
“Doesn’t sound like a very fun place to work.”
