heck ya im an elitist

heck ya im an elitist
I could not care less whether it’s a bad thing.
Playing with bad dps is not fun. It’s actually frustrating. Hard pass. Kick. Go gear up and spent some time on a training dummy instead of expecting a carry.
If that makes me an elitist then heck ya I am too.
yea i mean i boosted a character and i got quest greens / blues and im fine in dungeons. idk what ppl are freaking out about
i get invited, i do fine, it’s like literally a non issue for someone who in theory should be having a hard time
Because they don’t want to do that.
Also, only “nice” people have trouble questing. They see a rogue enter stealth and approach a mob and go “oh I shouldn’t tag it, the rogue is going for it” while I think “lol he slowed himself down, I have time to tag it.”
We knew this would happen after what happened in TBC. Not playing the game without RDF. I AM KRUMTOILET!!!
So basically you want Blizzard to give you a way to force people to let you into their groups because you aren’t good enough to get an invite on your own. Yeah nah, and blizz clearly agrees because we don’t have RDF, lmao
No offense but it’s kind of silly that you’re telling people to gear up for leveling dungeons…
Or they could be getting gear to gear up from the dungeons because that’s the point of dungeons?
I mean these dungeons are so brain dead easy you can just Netflix and chill. Imagine being an elitist on leveling dungeons.

This is extremely far from reality
I just want to do dungeons the way I thought normal human beings did. Not pretend to be friends on their Discord like a complete sociopath just so they’ll group with me. There has to be a viable option in between.
Reality is a nice medium between the two extremes you described. You should come back to it.
When it involved Blizz removing a core system from Wrath that allowed the majority of players easier access to content, without being beholden to toxic, elitist gatekeepers.
And if RDF is in the game, you can still be as elitist as you want. Invite only the players who meet your criteria. All it does is give other players another option.
you are being a troll by altering my post, who are you to correct anything i may say. you are just playing cnn now and altering things to fit your narrative. if it were just a couple of people it would be pure elitism, but it isnt, its a bunch of sweaty tryhard elitists trying to control what folks get to run and not run, trolling them, smack talking them, and barring them from running the dungeon with them. but im done arguing with you in particular because you fail to see the truth and feel you have to create fake quotes to enforce your narrative.
EXCEPT when its more than just one group. theres entire guilds doing it on atiesh, others on old blanchy, more on maladath, and a group on westfall. this isnt just one small group of people, its a bunch of elitists who think if they keep people out they can drive them off the game because they wont put up with hours in que… and guess what? they are right.
its called rdf, but the elitist gatekeepers dont want it, they feel that they lose control of “their” servers and “their” game because it shrinks the pool of people they get to lord it over.
Damn, I didn’t realise there was a cartel of elitists who controlled who could go into the dungeon and who couldn’t. Oh wait. You can still walk into that dungeon. You can still make friends and group up with them. You can still do the content. You just choose not to want to start a group, or make social connections, and then complain when people pass you by because dps are a dime a dozen and they get their pick of the litter because they’re putting in the work to form a group.
Theres not a gatekeeping problem, theres an elitism problem. However the only reason there is an elitism problem is because there are less people willing to spend time making groups than there are players able to fill those groups. The fix for that is to just have more people willing to put in the work to make a group. Why not be the change you want to see, and go start your own groups.
Theres a reason pugs fall apart almost instantly when the leader leaves, because people arent willing to step up and take the reins themselves. I’ve seen it happen when I’ve had to cancel a pug i was making because rl called me away. I asked who wanted to take over, nobody stepped up, and people just started trickling away.
it’s quicker to get an invite to an already established group than to start a group from scratch.
“just start your own group”…well yeah but our system disincentives that. Of course you CAN, as in it’s legal but what use is that? You CAN just build your own game exactly how you like it. It’s useless.
Instead of what is theoretically possible, what kind of play do systems incentivize?
Not really sure what point you’re trying to make with this post? Like, yeah, of course its easier to join a group someone else made, thats why the person forming the group has the right to filter out those he doesnt want to play with, for whatever reason he may choose, whether it be for efficiency sake, or to weed out gear competition.
exactly, you hit the nail on the head. im pretty sure the elitist gatekeepers will say something about confusion or try and explain it away. but thankfully i have a no fly list and dont have to listen to the alts arguing with you.
I don’t care whether you find it to be ridiculous. We won’t be grouping together.
So if this is a common thing, and people across all servers have the same mentality, grouping up with them in RDF is going to have the same result. They will just vote kick.
I tank, and I 100% would make the party choose between kicking some random dps or me. 9 times out of 10 they will side with the tank over some dps from another server they’ll never see again, to avoid waiting in queue again.
You literally don’t know what honesty is.
