I’m starting to realize just how important definitions are to people, along with the fact every word has multiple meanings. Split tongued languages tend to lead to confusion like this.
When I heard the word “gatekeeping”, without looking it up and choosing a definition, my first thought was that it’s a gate, meaning there is a wall. So one has to get through the gates and if the gate keepers don’t let you in, you are not getting in. However, the way my mind works, I know walls no matter how tall can be climbed or dug under.
So I didn’t take gatekeeping as literally meaning it is the only way you are getting into the raid. My mind auto gave room for the “make your own group” or “find another path”. It seems people really love to argue those points though as if their mind see’s a wall and can think of no way past it other than to go through the gate.

Yes words have meanings. Your desire to blur the lines of definitions doesn’t make you special it makes you a fool.

I would say the royal “we” in WoW are playing the game and don’t become unhinged because some dared to put criteria on joining their raid.
This goes back to what I originally said, no one is gatekeeping your access to Gnomer. If you got your way though that’s exactly what you would be doing. You would be gatekeeping access to the entire raid unless their group was formed using only the criteria that meets your strict definition of acceptable.
You’re too dense to see that all your solutions lead from a “you can’t join this specific raid” to “You can’t host any raids unless you host it a very specific way” or even worse you’re looking for some automated system like LFR that just jams people into a group with no choice.
You have successfully backed yourself into an indefensible position.
