Three characters in a row now have used their Garrison HS and appeared in an empty void somewhere in Draenor (opening the map shows Dreatnor the continent). They’re stuck.
Looking around, I’m hanging over the ocean. There’s a coast I can see with hills. It’s distant and hard to tell. The character select screen says Shadowmoon Valley. These are Horde toons so this is definitely busted.
Just had the same issue occur. Teleported to the middle of space.

Garrison Hearth from CoT, landed over the Ocean and just facing a string of disconnects.
If anyones stuck, log onto another toon. Escape>Support>Stuck Character Service>Follow prompts.
If it were only that simple!
Often this method breaks and it takes forever to load, possibly because of how many toons I have. Selecting a character takes a minute or two. It all up takes me 5+ minutes to unstuck a character.
There are lots of other threads about the portals from Tanaris being broken, even the mage Teleport: Stormwind spell being broken. People appearing in different zones or over the ocean.
Pain.
I did a bit of extra testing. Logged onto my Vulpera and used Make Camp at the Tanaris event site.
Used the Dalaran hearthstone, which worked.
Used the Garrison hearthstone in Dalaran, which worked.
Used the Camp return to Tanaris, and that also worked.
Flew to Gadzetan, used normal Hearthstone, and that worked.
So it seems to be happening when people try to port from the Event area to anywhere, as in an outgoing issue.
This just happened to me, too.
First try landed me in Talador, second try dropped me in the middle of the ocean with land in the far distance and a fatigue bar. I was able to use a different hearth to avoid fatigue death.
I’ve been sent to the void an island far away from the garrison, and inside auchidon shields which tossed and automatically killed me
Yep same thing just happened to me. Can’t use stuck character service and can’t log out normally to try another character…just says “You can’t logout right now”. Oh really? Alt F4 it is I suppose.

Idk if it makes a difference or not & I know it’s the same service but I don’t use it ingame. Get Help - Blizzard Support I’ve had no problems doing it this way & my toon is safe & sound & playable again. I just had to use it yesterday as my mage was floating in the air due to the teleport “mishaps”.
