Nah I wont usually mess anyone on an escort quest unless its a player I remember ganking me when they were level ?? to me. Then I show no mercy.
If they are a gnome I will strongly consider it depending on how hungry I am at the time. So far the only people I have ganked are folks killing a named NPC I need for a quest.
That’s how I see it.
On the other hand, sometimes you’re just short on time and it doesn’t matter who’s escorting…horde or alliance a pally’s got to do what a pally’s got to do ;|

no as it’s not an option as I play on Normal servers and rarely, if ever, end up ‘ganking’ anyone. Now that being said if a same level horde player is flagged and I can annoy them then yes I would. Likely while doing an escort quest nobody would be flagged though.

I was in Feralas and saw someone doing chicken escort solo. He was about to die from like 3 yetis so I saved him then escorted him and his chicken the whole way. He thanked me after and I waved bye.
That assuredly felt more satisfying than killing him when we was gonna die and fail.
There is a long escort quest for horde in I think ashenvale. If I ever see a horde doing it I’m definitely killing him
I had a higher level alliance kill my escort NPC in outlands before and leave me alone, right before it was about to be completed.

Back before BC I started a tauren druid alt. At level 40ish, me and my rogue buddy went to westfall and ganked the defias traitor guy a bunch.
What started as a fun little time turned into a zone wide manhunt for us, with swarms of higher level alliance trying to protect him, growing with every attempt.
Eventually, we were unable to sneak in the gank.
An absolute blast.
Depends on my mood. Generally no butbi also didnt want to be on a pvp server. It just so happened all my guildies chose the same pvp server and i wanted to play with them.

Yeah some Hunter did that to me to the escort in Feralas.
I ended up doing the same to 3 horde. IDR who that Hunter was, but you effectively ****ed over 3 of your own.
