Then don’t? They are simply letting people know and said, “If you would like to participate…” No need to be a smart mouth about it, good lord.
Well put! As I’ve stated in an earlier post it’s fine not to be keen on changes in WoW though I do feel people are letting themselves see the to the point where the anger is making them come off as vindictive. Normally when I’m close to that level of burnout,I take a break,at something else and come back to the game with fresh eyes and return to what I often do which is content with friends who still play. The changes may fix the issues people have come 8.1 or it may not, only time will tell until then. Logic would dictate a hiatus would be ideal to those getting in a tizzy and returning after a course of playing a different game until the burnout or anger subsides.
What scion of a worthy made THAT egregious error? Surely no fan of WoW?
There is a ton of disrespect.
If a person makes statements like “if people disagree with my opinion, the only alternative is they were being paid”…that is a sign of disrespect.
While i do consider yith the best of them…
CMs are customer service representatives. They are quite literally receiving compensation to listen to complaints and to in turn bring those(valid, which most are) complaints to blizzards attention.
Nobody defends me when i do what my job description is. Why is this different?
But people are literally attacking the CMs for doing their job description is. I think that is a difference here.
WoW doesn’t really deserve to win anything at the moment especially with how 8.1 fixes so little.
There job is to moderate the community not beg for upvotes for a reward show.
“literally attacking” citation needed. I think you mean that people are being mean. Which i have no problem with. Its ok to be mean to things or people you dislike, as long as threats and violence are not involved. Yea, people freak out in stores all the time, or whatever buisness. Its on the customer service to deescalate the situation. If they cant, maybe they arent cut out to deal with the public. again, not directed at yith at all, hes ok by me. Josh on the other hand is not build for this.
I feel confident that their job description is more than only moderating the community, and that advertising for a reward show is actually part of it.
I am quite sure that message board moderation is actually a small aspect of their job.
If “being mean to a CM poster” does not count as attacking, then “being nice” doesn’t count as defending.
No that is a sign of speculation and/or opinion. Both of which are allowed. Especially when critiquing a company’s worthiness for an accolade.
I didn’t say being disrespectful was not allowed.
But if you make a blanket statement that implies every single person in the world is being paid, just for disagreeing with you…that is disrespectful. You are stating your opinion is the only right one to have. Anyone disagreeing is wrong.
Wouldn’t you find it funny/sad if I were to call anyone that disliked BFA a Square Enix shill? And that they are obviously only posting negative things because they are being paid to by rival companies of Blizzard?
It’s actually not okay to be mean. If everyone would be nice the world would be a better place. I however know that that will never happen. You don’t have to be mean to get a point across. You shouldn’t be an @$$ just because you can.
That is not a sign of speculation and/or opinion. That is literally telling everybody who disagrees with you that their votes didn’t matter. WoW only won because Blizzard paid CBS
If you read through the posts of the people who say they are voting - I haven’t seen a single one voting in the correct manner though. That award is FOR the expansion not the game for the past 14 years.
But, you can. I am not a mean person. I am a realistic person. You arent wishing away mean people. They are everywhere and will be forever. It is better to learn to cope with the real world than to wish it away.
You will have mean and nice people across every topic of interest. And that truly is ok and normal. Completely expected and rational human behavior. It is called “preferences.” Different people like/dislike different things to differing levels of degree. And how they express said like/dislike will vary.
This is just being a person though. Pretty standard stuff.
And believe it or not, a lot of people still like the expansion
Fair enough. I am not saying anyone should or shouldn’t vote for WoW. Vote what you feel was the best for this year. I don’t care who wins. I will play the same games I was playing before I even know this award existed.
I am more commenting on people stating that anyone who feels different from them is being paid to feel that way, and that their opinion is wrong.
That’s fine but I was commenting on the reasons people are saying they are voting for the game in this thread amongst the posts I have seen.
