Awww uwu (10 character limit also stupid)
I was thinking the EXACT same thing…poor guy. A deer caught in the headlights (well, a goat rather).
You have absolutely no idea if the subs soared in legion. They stopped reporting sub numbers back in WoD.
Sorry but no. Warcraft in it’s current state does not deserve an award. If it was Legion then yes… sadly though this is not Legion.
AYYYYYYYYYYY, i need to add you on b net lol I will send you in game mail.
This is hilarious. Sorry, WoW you don’t deserve my vote. Bad story, bad azerite system and a gutted reskin of Legion is not worthy of an award.
Haha for sure.
It’s not that hard to tell when things are going good in the game, my dude.
Half the raiding guilds on my server have either been forced to merge to stay afloat, have disappeared entirely, or, like my guild, forced to go on Hiatus until 8.1 when the new raid comes out.
People are dropping like flies to play other games, so why should they vote for WoW when they’re not even playing? Lmao.
Its actually hilarious seeing all these people that seem to like bashing this game still here. So many posts about how FF or ESO etc is so much better and more deserving your votes yet here you are. Still playing WoW. Whining but still here.
Thanks for the info. I voted for WoW and will let others in guild know. The vast majority of people playing the game don’t seem to have the issues that are so prevalent in the forums. Really only in the forums.
It’d be great if Blizzard employees would actually turn up here to do more than post about waffles versus pancakes, or beg players to vote for them in whatever popularity contest is going on this week.
Most of them, like me, thought the Devs learned their lesson with Warlords, and were going to continue being as good or at least not as bad since Legion was so good.
So we bought a few months more than we probably should have.
I’m literally just playing to level alts in the vain hopes 8.1 is better.
This whole ‘don’t like it, why are you still here?’ attitude is bad and you should feel bad.
They might also just be waiting for 8.1 to hit, and you have to have a sub to post on the forums, that they claim is the only reliable way to get your opinions heard.
No one is defending Blizzard, we are defending the people that you have explicitly targeted with your malice.
Yes, Blizzard may need to increase their communication, yes Ion may have stated it themselves. However, it is not always the CM’s decision on what they can and can’t post on. In some ways they act like a courier service, you the player write a message that you intend to deliver to the game play department, a CM then picks up that message (in the forum of a multitude of threads/posts on the issue) and brings it to the person who that issue concerns the most.
They ask them how to respond, what changes if any are planned or to be discussed and then they convey that message back to the player base in the form of a blue post.
Now what happens if they get the message “don’t respond yet until we have more information” or “we need more time to formulate a response”? Their hands are tied in a lot of situations.
Don’t blame them individually. If you have some beef direct it to Blizzard as a corporation.
I really wish I could like this twice.
Last Blue post in PTR forum 11/15, last post in Class Development forum 11/16.
I know Yth isn’t a class dev CM, but when the other forums are literally crying out for a Blue response and not for the first or second major time not getting one prior to a content release…
But hey, you can vote for your favorite game at CBS’s popularity contest, and double hey, we’re nominated!
Yeah, not in your wildest fever dreams.
I’m not saying anything bad about Ythison or any of the Community Managers. I know it’s not their job to handle anything in game, they’re literally just the go-between for the forums and the devs.
I do often wonder if they actually tell the Devs what’s happening, or if they do and the Devs just don’t listen like what the case with Warlords, is, or what, but I’m not going to pass judgement on that cause I have no way of knowing which it is.
I’m sure Ythison is doing a good job.
The Devs, on the other hand, not so much.
And too all the people that actually are getting mad at Ythison - you have your right to voice your opinion, but do try to keep in mind that he’s just doing his dang job and he literally has no effect on the game play whatsoever. He’s a mouthpiece, don’t shoot the messenger, etc.
You don’t know if most of the people still playing in game are only doing it because they bought more time than they should have. You have no proof for it either. I don’t really see any complaints in game like on the forums. My guild got really busy when BFA released but then went back to normal in about month or so. Everyone I have talked to IRL also doesn’t think the way the forums does.
Is this for WoW’s general performance this year or for BfA as a game release? I would happily give my vote to WoW because Legion was awesome until the end. If it’s just for BfA… I don’t know.
Sorry, my reply was actually to Sanshunter who has actively been attacking the CM’s throughout the entire thread. Apparently I forgot to nest the original comment so it wasn’t as clear
My apologies if you thought it was direct at you and caused offense.
That’s all anecdotal evidence.
I’m looking at the numbers. My guild’s on hiatus because people stopped logging in, my friend’s guilds either stopped raiding or disbanded, there aren’t as many people advertising they’re doing active raids… These are all things you can see if you want to actually look at the numbers.
Also, you don’t see any complaints in game like on the forums? … Either you have Trade or LookingForGroup disabled, or you’re not paying attention, my dude. I’m not trying to say it’s as loud or vitriolic, but it’s definitely still there.
This is clearly you just choosing not to see this, like all the people who said WoD was amazeballs when people were quitting left and right lmao.
Oh, no problem. It was partly me responding to that, and me wanting to make myself clear - I’m not mad at the Community Devs cause they’re just doing their jobs, more so mad at the Devs that are either not listening or being stubborn about how ‘great’ they think the game is at the moment.
Hehe WoD was amazeballs for the 3 days of content it provided
