I know this game has been around forever, but I only started playing a couple of months ago. I cannot get the game to launch. It tells me it needs to update, but it goes in a loop between update and play. I’ve restarted my computer several times and it does not help. Please tell me there is a “simple” fix.

when you go into the game files and try to open Wow.exe, does it come up with the error “Invalid access to memory location”? this is a problem a good few of us have been having and reporting in this thread (Unable to launch game after most recent patch), but it’s been radio silence about any kind of fix for this.
That’s because there is none other than re-install or scan and repair and hope for the best. So far scanning and repairing however many times until the exe works has been working for me.
Personally, I think this issue is something to do with bnet thinking people with this issue have the wrong version of WoW, deciding people NEED to update WoW, and then giving them the wrong one and thinking it’s done.
