I ask we Please turn off LFG Channel permanently on classic.
There shouldn’t be one anyhow, it isn’t useful if no one is using it for it’s sole purpose “looking for groups”
If we have a LFG Device tool to use now to look for groups why still have the LFG Channel?
All I see daily from sunrise to sunset across all servers is people spamming this channel with ultimately garbage and everyone is getting exhausted by it.

Which server are you on? On Skyfury, I haven’t noticed any real non-LFG relevant chat since maybe the first 2 days. Pretty sure Blizzard has been cracking down recently.

Have you ever seen tradechat on any server for the past 10+ years? No one talks about trading.

You can right click the name of the channel and select ‘Move to New Window’ which will make it pop up in a new tab. You can do the same with Trade and any other chat channel / whispers.
Then you can just click on the general tab and you wont get spammed because they’re in a different tab and you wont see them.
Or you can just leave the channel and rejoin later when you need it.

You can leave the channel. That is the first thing I do on every character immediately. It’s such a stupid channel the 2 seconds I spend with it on already causes brain damage.

The GMs should be moderating the LFG channel.
I agree it’s pretty annoying, but just type /leave lookingforgroup and hey presto its gone! It’s also pretty fun to have the option to rejoin when you are out in the sticks grinding some boring mobs.
Wait, so if people are chatting more, does this not mean that blizzard has made the game more social? I thought that was what we were going for now in classic, turning gamers into socialites.
All of the posts in the last hour on this full server was looking for group membership.

Trade chat in Wow Vanilla is full of trash talk too .
There really needs to be an official World channel.
