Game is Fine. You are not

These forums are full of pessimism. Thread after thread of vague negativity claiming that the game sucks and needs to be better. No real suggestions on what should be changed since no one really knows how to make a 14 year old game exciting anymore. In many cases the suggestions are minor and really do nothing to change the game.

People complain about bugs and call it beta for Azeroth but loved classic through all its bugs. People complain about class balance but loved classic with dead specs. People complain about loot but played classic with 4 drops in a raid of 40. People complain about the game being too easy but post daily on how m+ needs to be nerfed. People complain about lack of content but managed to entertain themselves by taking background screenshots and making world pvp compilations year’s ago. People complain about leveling being too easy while asking for exp requirement nerfs and more heirlooms. People complain that warfronts are too boring but found 8 hour long battlegrounds fun in classic.

Could it be you are just burned out and you fail to enjoy anything the game can deliver at this point? Seems normal not to enjoy playing the same thing for years.

I don’t think WoW is bad and the devs are doing a horrible job. We just can’t be pleased anymore after so many years.

But thats just your opinion.

I’m one of those people who would play nightly with my girlfriend. Past few weeks we have not touched WoW. For us it’s because the incentive to do dungeons or any end game activity have disappeared with the new expansion, legendary chance, artifact weapon skins, armor sets specific to class.

I’m sure BFA will become good at some point, but its just a few new areas and less things to do with them. We find ourselves in legion completing old stuff on alts that have an objective rather than farming titan-forged gear.

We WOULD have come back for the new raid but the transmog for the new raid has been done in a lazy way, no doubt about that. In my mind I can wait for the raid after that insta gear and faceroll for the boring armor set.

Or this is just a deeply flawed expansion.

It is not the spoon that is bent, it is you. Free your mind.

I would be impressed with myself if I got this burnt out so early in an xpac ._.

Well thats one way to overly summarize rather complex issues then try and tie them to other things, I suppose.

I mean, I generally defend the game.

… but it has a LOT of problems right now, that aren’t being resolved.

Bugs are tollerable when there is a game worth it. It’s not us.

4 drops in a raid was totally fine because the social dynamic it brought. People are so use to being rewarded constantly to where that magic wont come back to the game after the flood of gear so easily available. When you got a piece of gear you will remember it in Classic. You will remember the name of the piece and feel more rewarded than anything this game can do now days.

The players aren’t to be blamed. This game blew up and brought joy for years and years. People have met the love of their life in this game. It’s understandable for players to be upset with current wow. It’s just TOO MUCH. Classic wasn’t perfect and is a beautiful example of showing that imperfection can be amazing. I don’t care if everything is perfectly balanced. I’m attempting to enjoy BFA but it just feels like “Queue Party 64”. I can forgive modern WoW if they deliver on Classic. I want to feel like I’m part of the world. I want to feel like my server isn’t just an auction house, I want it to feel like a community, I want to feel connected to the server.

Maybe if Buzzard didn’t delete Beta Feedback forum they’ll find alot of real suggestion?

Nothing is perfect and people are going to point out the things they think are flawed.

I don’t understand why anyone thinks they are going to stop that from happening.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but with that being said I can agree that some are unnecessarily negative.

Expressing what you like and what you feel can improve things is helpful, keep doing that.
But don’t just go “UGH GAME SUCKS, UNSUBSCRIBE”.
It’s just not helpful.

Lumping together all the different posters as one group you label “People” is what is flawed.

Best thread I’ve seen in the past few weeks. I completely agree. Seeing everyone crying on here and r/wow is pathetic. If you don’t like the game, than take a break. Simple.

Because Classic was Blizzard’s first attempt at an MMO, and some of that was obviously forgivable as they learned their way around balancing, content, and fine tuning.

BfA came out nearly 14 years after Classic, seven expansions later.

OP is right. Anyone who plays the SAME GAME for years gets tired of it. Flaws they overlooked in year 1 seem big in year 10. Fun and excitement in year 1 turn into boredom in year 10.

They think the game has gotten bad. In reality they have changed. The game is as good or better than it was in year 1.

The game cannot “become new and exciting” for them. It’s the same game. There is nothing Blizzard can do. Old players should leave and play a different game. In fact, most old players do that. New players replace them.

There are a lot of whiny and entitled players. Dont like it do something else please.

This is similar to what’s happening between my boyfriend and I. Except I’m the only one playing at this point. He logs in once in a while but nothing like in Legion. We used to raid every week last expansion but everything changed when BFA came out.

It’s been very disappointing to say the least.

No, I just don’t like Legion 2.0… and I didn’t play vanilla so I don’t have rose colored glasses on.
